toots no my partners a cab driver at the mo, however he's a fully qualified electrical engineer it's just the work in that industry has been poop for a while so he chooses to do what he's doing, he's always looking for vacancies for what he's qualified to do just isn't the money there at the mo, most the lads he trained with are on short hours or out of work, even those who were working overseas are suffering. A friend of ours has just got their deposit back, several months later, from a property the developers decided to stop building, few people I know who were planning moves into new builds haven't (most haddn't paid the deposit yet thankfully) Some sites are so bad the companies who supply the building materials are going in reclaiming stock because they haven't been paid! In a way, the amount of new build homes was getting just silly, but for those out of work it's not nice either, can't win can we?

RAhhhh!!!! How cold is it out there!!!! My recycling sack had took a trip across the garden so I went out, no coat, to get it, brrrrr!!! I thought I was going to freeze stiff. Such a change since this morning when it was chilly but not that cold ***puts hand out for hot choccy please nicki*** pretty please....

pigpen stop being so organised, I haven't even bought cards yet!

    Evening ladies!

    :hello:Hi to all the newbies!

I've read through without taking notes again...and can't remember all the supportive, helpful and insightful, not to say witty things that I was going to say...;)...so hugs, wine, coffee and chocolate as appropriate, please help yourselves!

Lovely day on supply, and as I was even free for the last hour, I managed to get all of next week's planning done - yay!:j:j:jI just need to sort out the resources, and am determined that I will do it tomorrow, so I don't have to spend all day Sunday doing it. The forecast is dire, very cold with snow showers, so I plan to do a little bit of flying, and then curl up with a book. I've just treated myself to one on places to visit within 90 minutes of Calais, and want to plan our day there - two weeks today!

Was it gryfon posting about decluttering? I finally had the revelation about clutter sometime last year, as I couldn't cope with the amount of stuff that needed moving each time I tried to clean. In the end, for each room day, I spent 15 mins removing the items that didn't belong there (eg, outgrown clothes and toys from my bedroom). It took a long time, but the little bit each week became quite a big bit (the trick is NEVER to put anything extra in that room that doesn't belong). Now I am working on the correct storage for each room - we have now fitted wardrobes in the bedroom, and the bedside chest of drawers is next on the list.

I'm still working on the living room, which has recently acquired a computer, and several Playstation bits, not to mention a huge quantity of cables etc. Sigh. Anyone any brilliant solutions? I think the PC will go back to the boys' room, and I'll have to get a TV storage thing that has drawers for all the bits.

Need a cup of tea - back soon!

PS I haven't done anything much for Christmas - must, must start this weekend!

Oooooh its cold tonight. Hopefully it will kill off all the bugs and germs going around. Looked out of landing window and saw ice forming on the flat roof.

Got up about 4pm and did a HHI while waiting for my tea to cook.

Will tackle todays list tomorrow. I see it has on about writing a list of xmas presents left to buy. I really need to do that.

Im off work now till next Wednesdayso my plan is to finish xmas shopping and get some wrapped.

Im keeping my fingers crossed that we will see youngest GGD. We have not seen her for a few month now. Ive got her presents and will try and sort out making sure she gets them.

    Mummy2mygirls Welcome.

Lady-Liberty. Take it easy and enjoy your weekend away.

ashia Hugs. You have made the first hardest step by going for counselling. Im sure you will get a lot from your sessions even though you may find it hard at first. Good luck.

lil_me Had a quick look at the Waterstones site. Im terrible for books as I love reading. Have not found anything yet for me but a couple for xmas presents maybe.

    ZLS1984 Hugs.

    Mudbath Hugs for you.

PinkFairy Hope you look after yourself and glad to see you did not run after DSs GFs mother. What a cheek she has when she was quite capable of taking her. Hope DSs GF enjoys herself.

That's another thing I don't like! (along with ice cream) I love chocolate though...
    Funny old thing aren't I?
I have had a bath and am snuggled in pjs and dressing gown (with hood) because I have changed the bed AND done the bedroom.
    Tis an oasis of calm!

Re the clutter thing - you need to be ruthless. The thing with clutter is you look at it and see what you paid for it or think of the donor and then feel guilty getting rid of it. Well it is a millstone round your neck and a burden. I have got rid of loads of stuff - because I can't be bothered to e bay it it has mostly gone to Help the Aged. Let someone else dust it! Life's too short.
And the best way to clear is to get someone else to do it...I used to do my sisters...no emotional attachment. No guilt sending unworn still labelled clothes to charity.
Serena's 15 minute chuck also works well. Focus on one drawer/area/shelf and sort.
At one time though I never threw anything away...
