  • As always just proof that I have plenty of money - and with what I earn on top of it I should be getting this debt down a lot quicker!!!

First things first then... lets get back on top of that Vanquis Card as little treats have crept up... naughty naughty... I've put a few gigs and tickets on there when I was not in MSE mode last year - so now I'm back on track it must go!!

i seem to do really well for a few months, then the bottom just falls out of my purse and it's gets squeaky again. But you're right we'll survive next month just like we survive the others :)

congratulations! i've got to wait till thursday, and friday for OH's
  • Ok well can't view my balance on the cash point so I'll have to update sums insured etc and make payments tmw when I've got my pin machine with me!

However I'm thinking that this month needs to be tight as possible - so how's £40 a week including food sound? I mean that actually sounds like quite a lot considering what I have been living on - but I want to be realistic and what with knowing it's friends birthdays and my Mom's at the start of March, oh and BIL I just remembered! I think I'll need that £40 if I'm going to stick to a budget!!

Today then I've spent £6 in the £1 shop - washing powder, 2x deodrant, 1x bulbs for hanging basket, 3 x can of coke 2 x conditioner

and £4.90 in Tesco - Bleach, Kidney Beans, Green Lentils, Peas, Can Tomatoes, 3 x peppers and 3 x courgettes. That's to make a massive Veggie Chilli which with the Spag Bol I have left over from the weekend should last me the week!! I do have friends coming to tea on Tuesday and Thursday so will serve chilli on Tuesday but will need to do a chicken dish on Thursday as have promised... Also I need to make my Spartan outfit for the weekend (I have sold those cloaks but am waiting for money to come from them - should get some drinks bought on Saturday for making them as well!)

Oh and 80p on Potato and Double Gloucester Soup.. 35p on tiger roll

Total Spend then £12.05 - it felt good to spend at last :) but that's the end of it again

  • Ugh so last night I got home to find a bill for £87 from Virgin Media!! Apparently after a phone call I worked out that they hadn't been able to take January's Direct Debit and they added on charges and it also included Februarys... etc etc... anyhow after being on the phone for over and hour I managed to get any charges cancelled and have paid up in full for January and February... £46 + £10 calls.. however they could only reverse that charges for the one month and the other would be taken off the next bill apparenty so I paid £56+£10 calls, and will only pay £13 in March!!!

Now the question.... £10 of calls? Well that's suprising considering I use my mobile to make all my calls? Maybe it's the girl that I'm putting up for FREE for the past two months... who has offered ZERO pence towards bills, even though she knows I work two jobs just to survive!? I'm glad that yesterday morning I sent her a text saying that she needed to find somewhere else, as I had someone to move in within a month and needed to tidy as well! But would you believe she's making out like I'm chucking her out... talk about appreciation!?!?!?

Ok so I feel like I just want her out and then to just hide away for a month or something, because she's making me feel like a bad person, even though everyone keeps telling me I've been more then generous. Ugh!!

  • Elizabeth you HAVE been more than generous, I can't believe she hasn't even offered anything! Did you mention the phone bill to her? Have you really got someone moving in? Will they contribute towards bills? Could be a real help!

  • she didn't come home until late last night - not sure if she's avoiding me, but I will be mentioning the phone calls. You know when your heart just sinks because yet again I'm having to chase someone for money, yet again I had to be making these phone calls to get unjust charges cancelled off. I just want an easy life! Ok I'm just very lazy - which probably is why things escalate - but ok - putting people up for free - lesson learnt, never again!!

sorry to hear you've been used by someone who you have been helping out, and then they have the cheek to say you're kicking them out. I hope you know that you are not lazy, you are the opposite of lazy!
