Hi!
Was wondering where were, but then realised if you're not working, you are probably trying to catch up on some sleep after your manic weekend!
Hope it went well? !start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
Hey! Has been manic but fun
Have been really good with money though did spend £20 on the Friday Night on going out... but was worth it and no other money spent all weekend!! That included heading out Sunday Night
Going to try and continue the no spending this week but need some food in at some point!!
Have just confirmed I'm working Saturday and Sunday 5 hour shifts at the NEC so there's a little extra pocket money coming my way as well! Means I'll miss Roller practice but I'm heading Roller Disco on Friday Night (£5 entry!) so I think that'll make up for it and the money is more important!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
£1.99 spent on lunch yesterday and 80p spent on soup for lunch and £2.75 spent on chicken legs, cabbage and carrots (Dinner for next 4 days) Am thinking of having the soup every day now - they have a loyalty scheme where 11th soup is free which works out 72p a day. Probably about the same I'd spend on Sandwiches - but nicer
Working Saturday and Sunday this weekend but heading out Saturday Night for friends birthday... will keep costs down for that as much as I can!!
9 days until pay day!!!

Hi Elizabeth - another busy weekend for you! I don't know how you keep going - but you are doing really well! I think that the soup is a pretty good idea....especailly when the weather is cold.(A fervent DFW'er would ask the relative cost of making your own - but only applies if you have the means of heating it at work!)
Have a great weekend and keep up the good work! Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

I think it would cost more to make my own ha ha! They really are nice soup - with pasta/potatoes loads of veg that sort of thing
And as you say no way of heating up!!
Weekend is busy but looking forward to it - I don't mind working especially when it's somewhere different, it tends to go fairly quickly and makes me feel productive as well!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
I think you might be right - I spent about £7 on veggies to make soup with a couple of weeks ago and only got about 5 meals out of it! So that's £1.40. Though I don't have bread with it so maybe have bigger portions to balance that out?
You sound like you're doing well - not long til payday now!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Ok - well I managed to get through the weekend with minimum spent £6.02 spent including groceries today! Still leaves me £25ish for a week which is good going! Asked to work on Thursday and Saturday as well so will be phoning up about that
Am starting a bit of a detox today as well which should help me with money saving for a bit - was a bit of a stressful weekend, bumped into the ex and I wasn't really wanting to do that, work was quite fun though the people weren't very friendly! 7 days to go until pay day!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
you really managed to get loads of stuff done with very little spending, i really admire that, I currently feel that now i've opened my purse again the money is just pouring out - guess i need to figure out how to lock it again0

Once I get into the swing of things I'm ok!! I think a big deal is not drinking... once I have a drink I start to think s*d it you only live once and end up spending most of my money.. now I can't afford to drink I'm much more in control of it all!! Working also stops me heading out and spending money and because I know a couple of promoters in Birmingham I can get into a few gigs for free nights out - really feeling more in control again after this stint
I think you're right once you spend a little... you spend a lot, so I'm just going to try and spend nothing
