£3 a day does sounds loads!! As you say Retrocircles positivity can get us through to the next pay day!!
2010 is definitely my year to get debt free.. I don't want to push myself but if I say no to holidays and yes to extra work then £2674 can't be that hard!? I'm definitely in a better frame of mind then last year - I was overdoing it at the start and then totally lost it in the middle. If I just live within my means, keep down treats and extras to the minimum, take the cheapest options then no problem
Fingers crossed!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
£2674 is £222.83 per month/£51.42 per week - it shouldn't be too hard to put that much away? Especially if you do loads of extra work like you did last year.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Yes well I'm paying off £330 a month to my parents at the moment (though that has dipped this month to £230 because of Christmas) so if I continue with about £300 a month if there's any slip ups I'll have a couple of months spare to make up!!
I have a good feeling about 2010 though - first stop getting extra work (Waitressing seems to have dried up?)Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
Ah sounds like you'll be grand! If you get it all paid off in good time for Christmas that will be great. I think no-one's eating out any more because they have no money!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

does sound like you will be getting debt free in 2010, you're right though to take it more steadily throughout the year, you don't want to burn up all your energy and then unravel all the hard work you've done.0

Ok so I've managed to not spend these last few days - had brought some cheese and bread back left over from hols that has done for sandwiches... going to have to make my first spend today though - I have some mince in the freezer which would last 2 meals (Just a small one) so I will get some sauce and spaghetti at lunch time. Also need some washing powder so will stop off at the pound shop to pick up that. Am using the snow as an excuse to stay in but Friday is a friends birthday so I will need to head out. I am however determined to stay out until the first bus (4am) and will get free entry and not drink once I'm out (I have a bottle of wine in the fridge which I can have before I head out) I have however invited my sister and her friend for dinner that night so will need to get some food in. Only other spend I can see coming up that I'll need to go to is my Roller Derby Bout 19th Jan - £10 and transport. Will keep updated on where I am with things though...

Oh and £1.49 spent on spaghetti and sauce - was a big pack of spaghetti so will have to get some more mince and sauce and probably can get away with that next week as well!!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270
