  • So the weekend.. £30 withdrawn and £12.56 left... total spent therefore £17.46. This includes party on Friday Night and birthday present and drinks on Saturday Night. So not bad all in all right? Going to be a really low spend week - cleaned my kitchen, bathroom and living room yesterday, but need to sort out the rubbish in there as well - if I do have a lodger moving in, can't ask them to move into somewhere that isn't 100% clean. My (paying) friend should move in the weekend of 28th, she's only here for 2 weeks of the month (due to job) so was thinking of just asking for £200 from her - that's just extra money for me and I'll enjoy the company so I hope it all works out! Going to continue tidying this week though - had my potential lodger around for a roast dinner yesterday (so she could see that the house was cleaned haha!) My non-paying lodger did sod all... oh well..

  • Wow I wish I had your powers of managing to do so much whilst spending so little! I think £200 for two weeks sounds reasonable when all the bills etc are included in that, hope it goes well - and here's to the other one moving out soon!

  • Yes I think £200 is fair - she'll be there 4 weekends of the month and she'll be storing all her belongings, and lets face it nowhere else would give her a discount for not being there for 2 weeks! She is a good friend though so I don't want to overcharge so £200 it is (would be £300 to anyone else!) I'm really happy if this all happens, even if it doesn't it means I get my place back and I can be thinking about advertising someone else to live there!! Hope you had a good weekend - is it Edinburgh this weekend coming up? I'm in London, but having a quiet weekend, free comedy night, then night out with no drinking on Saturday, and maybe so free galleries/museums on the Saturday Day!! :)

  • £1.32 spent on sandwich yesterday... then tidied bedrooom a bit and watched a bit of TV in the evening. I just feel so frustrated being at home though - I want my house back desperately, you know when something is just constantly on your mind - 2 weeks to go!!

  • Oh it's horrible when you're not happy with flatmates etc - home is supposed to be your place to relax. Not long now though. And you're right no-one else would give the new girl a discount for not being there, so you're being very reasonable indeed.

Yep, Edinburgh on Thursday, really looking forward to it :) Your weekend sounds fab - it's quite easy do do things on the cheap in London I think, except for the Tube and food/drink prices!
