London will be cheap except for as you say tube, but I have an oyster card and will try and stay in Wimbledon where my friend is on the Saturday so will just have to pay two of the days... food will be at hers as well so cheap weekend all around hopefully.. thinking of not drinking to cheapen it even more!!
Claire - no money has been offered, I am thinking of mentioning it again, but I'll have to see whether I can build up the courage to say it. Going to mention that it'd be best if she moves out on the 20th Feb that means 10 day count down!! Going to say my Mom is coming around on the 21st in order to help tidy (she might do as well!)
The only trouble with that is I wanted to go stay in Wales at my friends that weekend...But I guess I can do that another time instead

Sorry haven't been on for a while - went to London weekend, and have been entertaining sister as she split with boyfriend... I can't remember the total I've spent and what I've spent on - but I am aware that I have £10 left.. well £10.92 (I took out money at start and that's what's left of it) with 8 days until pay day. Ok well that's plenty
I'm in Wales this weekend for a free holiday and then the £10 can buy lunches for the week as well. Perfect!!
Flat mate should be out this week... her Dad is moving her stuff... still haven't built courage to ask for money, but I'm hoping as she leaves her conscience might !!!!!!

Ok so it's pay day - have paid my parents again - 2 month left before I pay them off. I made to pay day, though I'll admit I always lose my interest in writing about money as I run out of money... it's never so interesting saying... spent nothing today, always more fun saying I've paid off something!! Anyhow, going to act like I don't have much money again this month, I mean I'm ok for money, but my overdraft really needs to come down. I'm not putting too much pressure on myself for this until I stop paying my parents off though. Slowly and steadily works for me! Had no extra work recently
which is a bit of a shame. Hopefully something comes up soon - or maybe I'll sign up to another agency!? Anyhow I want to look at the positives - it's pay day and I've worked out all my bill can be paid. I'm allowing myself £200 for the month spending money and I'm another month closer to becoming debt free!

so whoops! I forgot my password and for some reason managed to remember today... so I guess I have some updating to be done....
so I've paid off my parents, I've paid off my Vanquis... in fact I have only my overdraft to pay off from this month!! Better update the signature!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -

so where am I? Well totally in control!? My overdraft is up to limit, but I'm not in my reserve, I've paid off any Pay Day Loans, Credit Cards and all that rubbish that I found myself continually building up and building down again. I've worked out my finances for this month
£185 to last me until next pay day (25/06/10)
When my next pay cheque hits the bank then I'll have -£321.20 in the bank account. £210 bills to pay, £270 Rent (This will go up soon as my parents have been subsidising me) leaves my overdraft at -£801.20. So I'll start off by aiming to stay within £1300. This seems like a weak start but I have booked myself a little holiday in July ,it's my sisters 30th and my birthday
Holiday I just had to pay for flights and my friend has used points for the hotels, however need to pay for trains and spending money - Think this will be about £300 hence the above aim.
Sisters birthday we're going on a barge which I've already paid for as well
My birthday I'm having a big picnic, though I've said I'll supply some of the food that shouldn't cost all too much - maybe about £20/£30.
And my situation at the moment - well I'm single living ALONE, gardening, sewing, watching films, picnicing, roller derbying, baking, drinks round friends, last trains home, plenty of sleep... I think I may have grown up!?

Hello you! Long time no hear!!
Well it sounds as if you have got things well and truely under control! Its great that you have things coming up over the summer, and you have a budget / planned for them so they won't come as a big old shock!
Am loving the pic from the roller derby..... really wish they did one near me!
Welcome back and well done for what you've achieved whilst you have been away! Natsstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Ah Elizabeth, good to hear from you - so often people disappear from MSE only to return a few months later having fallen off the wagon big style so I'm so pleased you're doing so well! You'll soon have the OD paid off at this rate, and sounds like you're feeling very zen wth your life at the minute
I like the 'sound' of rollerderby, a girl at work does it (Middlesbrough Milk Rollers), but am too much of a scaredy girlie to try! You could try setting something up Nat, it's the fastest growing grass roots sport in the country y'know...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
