sounds like you need to be harsh to deal with your guest. I hope she coughs up some money and pays her way a little, she can't just sub off people. glad you're a bit better off this month. wish i was, i've had to raid all my 'savings' accounts to keep up with my debt repayments because i refuse to not overpay just because i was silly in Jan and spent too much. Some of it wasn't totally silly though as i bought the fabric and stuff for recovering the sofas and there's now way we could get two new sofas, one of which is a very good sofa bed for £2500

I hope she does cough up some money, I think you need to be harsh in a situation like that. Hope it works out for you0

£28.50 spent over the weekend plus £20 dues for roller derby (that was on my SOA so doesn't count towards my £160 target!) Just checked bank balance and I have £270 left... so that's good and £20 in my purse!! Sister has just emailed me about doing dinner with Grandma tmw but that should be the only spend this week really!? I've got left over chicken and beef in the fridge and will cook that roast chicken one day!
Oh and flatmate is moving out end of February she has a place to head to - and I might have a (paying) friend in with me for a month which would be £300 extra!! Feeling much more positive about everything at the moment, had a great weekend catching up with friends and now I am looking foward to seeing my big sister tmw!!

Glad you're feeling better, there's nothing like catching up with loved ones to balance you out a bit! Glad that the flatmate will be disappearing, but is she goign to contribute anything before she does? Good news on the poss other paying lodger tooWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I don't think I'll get anything off her before she leaves - but that's my fault really for not asking. I don't want her not to be able to afford a deposit on a house (e.g. staying at mine longer!) by paying me anything!
Ok now I have a confession to make... I treated myself at lunch today... couldn't resist the sales and a dress reduced from £50 to £7!? Well I couldn't say no.... but it's ok so long as it sticks within my £140 budget!! going to be tight the rest of this month
80p on soup, 35p bread roll, 65p green beans, £1.29 Sausages, £7 (Beautiful) Dress = £10.09
I've spent a lot haven't I! Whoops... well it's out of my system and I'm onwards with keeping my purse shut!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
I bought quite a bit in the sales last month I have to admit, but I think the odd treat keeps you on the straight and narrow and £7 down from £50 is brillWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Ok then - Tuesday evening went out with Sister and she paid so no more money spent. Then Wednesday I spent 80p on soup and £1.16 on two sausage rolls (I know I know greedy!!) then went out for friends birthday on the evening - ate dinner at his parents and drank soda water so no more money spent. His mom has sent me to work with packed lunch as well so shouldn't have to spent on lunch. Will have to spend for dinner tonight though as going for dinner with couple of friends - will use a voucher though
