it's very difficult dating on a budget, but as long as you're not silly (which i know you're not) it's well worth the effort. You never know what it's going to lead to.0

Yes - I think it's just being kind of embarrassed about my debt really! Not the perfect way to start off - but as you say can't afford to be silly, so just going to have to think up cheap dates and make sure I'm taking control! Can't keep having him pay for everything - but if I just pay for the cheaper things
Having a NSD today anyhow - have packed lunch for the week - invited a friend round for a film tmw so hopefully won't spend tmw either!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
i remember having to bring up the subject of being perpetually skint with OH, you're right it's embarassing but i'm glad i was upfront. Thought i didn't tell him the exact details straight away just that the debt existed0

Ok - so I was a little naughty this morning - I spent 99p on a sausage baguette!! Didn't sleep well though and needed something to wake myself up - so that brings my total down to £25.26 left. I've got packed lunch again though AND I'm being cooked dinner for tonight, before Roller Disco
I think I'm lucky with this boy actually, he's a proper gentleman so he really does want to look after me, including paying, doesn't want me to waste my money on anything. Still I'm going to insist on paying for the Roller Derby tonight as I don't like taking advantage of people. He knows I live alone and have a house to look after, so that's a good enough excuse to be stingy - I'll try and bring up the debt if it comes into conversation, but it's not the easiest conversation to bring up!!

Ok - so not been much happening - it's pay day soon so all to change though! Also worked 4 hours overtime on Saturday which I should get in December pay - ended up having a very cheap weekend - cinema Friday, 4th date on Saturday afternoon (roller disco went well
)!! I took round lunch to his (Soup, bread and cream scones total = £3 bargain!) and then just spent the afternoon talking and drinking coffee. Then Sunday went to a gig but didn't drink! Roll on Wednesday so I can see what's happening with my fiances!!

Sounds like a lovely weekend, and glad you've bagged yourself a gent - my OH's a bit like that but then he'll make little jokes about how he's been 'stung again'
How you doing on the £40 til the 25th?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Well - spent £3.40 today on lunch and veg for the week, and some cake ingredients (new boy is 34 this weekend and well I thought that I won't get him anything but would bake him a birthday cake) This means that I have £1.50 left of my £40 to last me until tmw!! So made it
Going to have a month of scrimping coming up I think - making this challenge has got me back in a real stingy mood. Every penny will count!!
