Tete en l'air - No I haven't got around to Bingo Port yet - though I have been back on the surveys and getting my points up on them! Hoping for some vouchers shortly! Thanks for reminding me though!
LT - At least the christmas shopping is out of the way - I haven't even started yet - I'm going to suggest to friends that we don't do gifts and then just put a £5 each to my family on gifts. I always feel a bit selfish, but it's the thought that counts - maybe I'll just have a look at the home made gifts this year!! Hope you're feeling better today - if you need the time off to get better then take it - I'm sure they can cope and would prefer you to get better - no need to feel guilty!!
Nats - ha ha! Roller Derby - I've joined a team last Saturday - http://www.blitzdames.com/ there's the website - it's a lot of fun, but as Tete says can be fairly brutal - first thing your taught is how to fall - but lots of padding so not too scary!!
I have a date off that site tonight - 30, owns own company (which means he's busy good for me as not clingy!) not convinced about him, but thought I should go through with one date at least!
Oh and money wise (of course) have made a chilli last night which will last me the week and have brought some rolls for lunches for the rest of the week, so I'm doing well. Really enjoying staying in and watching films actually!

hi, i have made some homemade gifts as well as buying some. We try to cut down as well. OH managed to cover his family for less than £100 and there's quite a few of them. I've got nearly as many but feel safe in the knowledge that we save for christmas monthly and we won't be spending even half of what we've saved so that can be used to good effect elsewhere.
Good luck with your date.0 -
Ok - so the date went really well
There were definitely sparks from my side - but have to wait and see now if I hear!

Whooo, is this the one you only met up with because you felt you should follow through with at least one date? Just goes to show doesn't it? Glad it went well
And was MSE!!

It was that boy - I guess it's difficult to pick up someone's personality on line - have a second date on Sunday - just a film round his.. might try and persuade him to cook for me as well...:) Exciting!
I've set myself a challenge until pay day £40 to last me until 25th November.
I'm making a shopping list which will get me through - so long as I have enough food I'll be ok!! I have peppers, butternut squash and brocolli in the fridge, along with new potatoes and a couple of baking. I also have baked beans - there's two meals baked beans and baked potato - yum. The butternut squash, pepper and potatoes can all be roasted and served with some sort of meat. I wonder what I've already got in the freezer? I think I have pork chops! Sorted that's another 3 meals! So it's just lunches I need to worry about - cheese and pickle rolls will do me for the week!! So I'll probably just need to pick up some bits - maybe some more brocolli. I also have 2 portions of chilli in the fridge. I'm looking forward to the challenge!!!

Ok so spent £10 over the weekend which is good considering. Went to see Alice in Chains on Friday Night and didn't drink, then Saturday Night had a fancy dress house party, but just took some vodka I already had in the house. Then Sunday I had my second date, and it was his treat... but ended up staying at his watching a film until gone 11pm so had to get a a taxi home. Just spent £2.04 on some cheese and lunch, but that should do for sandwiches for the rest of the week so another £12.04 spent which leaves me with £26.25. I have plans for a 3rd date on Thursday - just going to go to a Roller Disco which will be £7 including skate hire, it's going to be tight to get throught until the 25th - but I'm determined to manage! It's a bit difficult dating on a budget, because I really don't want to let him pay for everything, so it's really my turn to pay next time - which is going to be difficult!!
