hi, don't forget to recharge your energy batteries this week! you always seem to be moving at full tilt.
I've got an expensive long weekend ahead, london to see the outlaws, always works out expensive as we seem to eat out 3 times a day and have to find things to do.
  • Weekends away always add up no matter how you try and curb the spending - you're allowed a treat every once in a while though so enjoy it!

I've definitely been recharging batteries.. have been taking herbal sleeping tablets in order to get myself to sleep earlier, they seem to just calm my mind down which is good.. life is feeling calmer in general with getting a good nights sleep. I'm meant to be going a friends gig on Saturday but have been asked to work - it's only 4 hours so about £20 but if my friend isn't up from London then I'll work (If my friends up then she's staying at mine so can't really get out of it then!) Really enjoying spending time at home, tidying is coming along nicely, still loads to do but think it's helping me feel calmer and happier. Have friend round for dinner and film tonight, and then I may have a date on Sunday. I've resorted to a dating website as getting a bit fed up of being asked out by 21 year olds. doesn't seem to be that many 27+ year olds on the market (or maybe I'm just too picky!) I'm not really bothered about being single these days, but there's no harm in looking!!

  • Glad the tidying is going well, I'm at that mid-stage of my declutter where there's stuff stewn all over the place, but I'm feeling better about it! You sound very zen overall which is good to hear.

I met my OH on a dating site, and know a few people who have met this way - if you can get past the "Hi how are you, I like going out and having a laugh, but also like cosy nights in with a DVD and a bottle of wine" bores there are some really nice, interesting and genuine people to be met - good luck with it!!

hi, i met my hubby through the internet. Actually i met him via his sister and BIL who i met on the togs website.

glad you're getting some rest, think i'll be heading for the herbal tablets as well!
  • Oh that's good to hear - I'll perserve with the dating website then! Didn't end up meeting with guy - I decided he wasn't my type - seemed like he might be clingy and didn't have much to say for himself - but I'll keep on looking!! Still feeling very zen :) Had a chilled weekend, film on Friday Night - Roller Derby try out on Saturday morning which was so much fun, will start going every week I hope - then gig on Friday Night and another film afternoon on the Sunday... totally scrubbed my bathroom as well - so the cleaning is still taking place, am staying in this week except for a No Spend night out Thursday to my sisters gig - so everything still feeling like I'm in control!! Hope both all had a good weekend :)

  • Oh yikes! One of the girls at work does Roller Derby and it looks so brutal! She has practice on a Wednesday and always comes in to work on Thursday telling tales of how she had to run with a team-mate in a fireman's lift for 200m and all sorts! Not for the faint-hearted!!

Just noticed at the top of this page you mentioned trying Bingoport - have you? I've only just got into it and am already at the point of redeeming my second £5 Amazon voucher - it only takes about 15 minutes a day and the payouts seem to come really quickly. It's not cash but surely having the vouchers will help you save on cash somewhere to go towards the debt.

Never mind about the date - can't be doing with clingy men!

our weekend was hell, which was exactly as expected. And expensive, but most of that was chrissy pressies so that's fine.
Unfortunately i came back with a stinking cold and cough so have phoned in sick today. Feel bad doing it as it's a busy time. The hotline said not to come back until Wed but feel bad so will go and feel ill at work tomorrow and share the germs! lol
gotta sort out paying for my car repairs as well, turned out more than expected (doesn't it always?) but i'm sure it would have been even more if i'd gone to a main dealer. Got the money in a saving account so that's ok but have to transfer it over.
  • Hope you feel better soon LT! x
