That is excellent news re the NEC work.

As others have said - the difference is very apparent to those who have read your diary from the start.....you are so much more in control - even on the stressy days, it does seem as though you are a long way ahead of where you started, and a whole lot more positive.

    Keep going x

  • Hey :) Thought I would give a quick update of the weekend!! Spent Valentines with OH - had a few drinks out and a carvery on the Sunday - total spend at weekend = £20! That's acceptable I think - oh and that included some food shopping at £6!

Am officially giving the OH the key to my house on Wednesday :) decided it still feels to soon for him to move in but he can treat it like a 2nd home - means I should get to see him more often but still be able to do my own thing!! Let's see if it stops me moaning about him on here ;)

I'm having some friends around for food tonight as was cancelled last monday - £3 spent at lunch on ingredients - I've put £30 of my £55 earnt in the bank today which means I have £5 and some change to spend this week if need be - going to aim for a few NSD's though as I feel a bit lax what with getting this extra money - need to make sure it's going to go on the debt and not on treating myself!! Going to pay off my Vanquis as soon as I get the money and then shove the rest onto my MBMA card straight away to stop me spending!

I won't be online as much this week do to not being at normal work - but will try and update at home! Hoping for some bar work this weekend, but not going to chase that until later on!! Right gotta try and get through a bit of work today so hope everyone is ok!!! :D:D:D

  • Paid £47.37 to Vanquis - I have a direct debit that comes out on the 6th of the month that will cover the final £5 - might just pay the £5 and cancel the Direct Debit though?

    Paid £100 to Barclay Card

Paid £30 to my Mom and Dad

    Paid £9.61 PAD to MBMA

I've not been on here too much lately thought I'm sticking to the rules. Got dumped, apparently I'm not as happy go lucky or spontaneous these days - apparently it's been since December time. I'm broken but just getting on with it :(

  • Oh, I'm sorry sweetie :grouphug: Have a hug (I couldn't find a better hug smiley than this dodgy one).

I wondered where you were but thought you were just busy at work.

    Take care,

Maybe the fact that you are not as happy go lucky or spontaneous as you once were is down to the fact that you are taking control of your debt and therefore your life, and having some responsibility in order that in the future you can be EVEN MORE spontaneous and happy go lucky, just without the bad feeling of unaffordable debt that goes with it

If he cannot see that, then you have to ask the question.......does he expect you to do things that you cannot afford to do or to sustain long term? And if he does, then he is asking unreasonable things of you.

You will be debt free - soon - you are making fantastic inroads to the debt, you are taking control of your spending habits, and you are making incredibly positive changes that will see you through for the future. THAT is really really important, and NO ONE should stand in the way of that.

Be proud of what you have achieved so far, what you continue to achieve, and of the person you are.

    ditto - Hypno's comments.
Sorry to hear that you've broken up though.
  • Thanks - I thought he'd stand by me that he understood that it'd be a hard couple of months... :(

To be honest there's no way I could of done any less then I've done. I've gone out with him and treated him when and where I could though I know he did for me much more then I did with him.

I'm only really just in a position where my debts are under control let alone going down and I thought he was proud of me tackling them.

I'd give anything to get him back but there's no point thinking like that as the decision is not in my hands.

I'm so down, I really believed that he wouldn't let me down that we would just work through everything as we were meant to be together, but I guess that was just how I felt :(

  • I don't really care about this anymore. The main reason for doing it was so I could properly have a relationship with my OH without this hanging over my head... I'm still going to do it but it's not making me happy
