You are doing so well Elizabeth! I'm really sorry to hear about your break up, but it seems like you're getting on with life and keeping up the great work on debt busting!
You definitely did right having a weekend off, just what you needed and £30 is nothing!
Great to see those totals coming down in your sig.

    Hi there

Just catching up with your thread, sorry to hear you are still down, life really sucks doesn't it? I have just been hit with a vet's bill for £1,000 as my pet has become really ill. As my LBM was only 2 months ago, I only £50 in my emergency fund so I have to do a transfer from a credit card into my current account to pay for the bill. I just feel what's the point in budgeting and trying really hard to get my debt down when a setback like this has put me right back to where I was 2 months ago. I've been crying all morning, I just feel what's the point really

    Sorry to hijack the thread!

I know its hard hun, trust me as someone who has just split from a 17 year relationship with a child I for many weeks wished I could get my old life back.

Now I can see that my old life was obviously not the right one for me otherwise it wouldn't be "old" if that makes sense.

I am struggling to clear my debts on my own too and it seems such a drag but just think how wonderful it would be to go into a new relationship without that worry and to be able to be laid back and enjoy yourselves.

Its crap but we will get there hun and there is a fantastic future ahead of us.

You have come too far debt wise to stop now so you keep plugging away :D

    Hi Elizabeth,

I am a long term lurker on your diary (and many others) and I just wanted to come out of the lurkers corner quickly to say that you are doing amazingly well in your debt free journey - you are the same age as me so it's comforting to read of peers going through the same things I have been.

I am really genuinely sorry to hear of your break up, I know it must hurt at the moment and I'm not going to repeat what others have said about it getting easier because I'm sure you have heard it enough, but I will reiterate that I, and hundreds of others on this site, are hear for you if you need us to talk, listen or even be used as virtual punchbags!:rotfl:

Keep your chin up, you're doing amazingly well!

I'm glad to hear you had some 'time off' and went to the wedding! It's not like you blew a grand on something silly! Well deserved, I agree.

    I hope you're having a good day. x

PercyPig - Sorry to hear about your news - hope your pet makes a full recovery, as much as I'm here to pay off debt, family and friends (including pets) come first so just try to continue to get that target down as fast as before!

Everyone else - thanks for the support. I can cope with it these days as long as I don't think of the past or the future and just concentrate on each day as it comes.

I feel so many emotions and I don't know what is the true way I'm feeling at the moment. There was nothing wrong with our relationship and I feel like I came so far and confessed to him so much and if anything I was preparing for more of that, more communication and less misunderstanding. He was perfect for me and I feel like we were at a point where we should of helped each other through any problems - mine or his instead of running away!!

Oh well this is meant to be a mse diary and I'm getting quite distracted by it all. I've done 2 NSD these last days, no work this weekend.. think I might be in the bad books but I'm not going to worry about that! Got overtime at my normal job on Saturday Morning which is an extra £40 next month at least! Staying in tonight - have another broken computer so not internet again - going to have an early night, bath and phone one of my friends to catch up. Then Saturday Night I get all dressed up and am heading out with some girlfriends, I'm not drinking as want to save money and also don't want to bring out emotions so will be cheap night! Then Mom's birthday Sunday - cooking for her round my place so will need to buy ingredients for that, have already got her present with my Qype amazon voucher!!

Hope everyone is well anyhow, sorry I'm not on here much at the moment, I hope you all continue reading as it's nice to know :)
