Making cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (part 2)

Well I managed to finish the last notebooks last night so the kids could take them in to school today and then my son tells me when I get in from work tonight that he needs another one as his teaching assistant who has been off sick is coming in tomorrow to say goodbye to them. SO i have spent the evening russeling another one up for him luckily I found a thankyou card I had made for one of the challenges so can use that. The teachers loved them I have had so many lovely comments about them and best of all they have asked me to take a box of cards into school to sell.:j

Flourgirl - Sorry to hear about your fall sounds like the sort of thing that happens to me - hope you aren't as badly bruised as you thought you might be. Love the idea of being paid in Per Una vouchers.:rotfl:

This may be a tricky one and i may be asking for something that doesn't exist but i am looking for a flip flop alphabet. What i mean is i want to type happy birthday but have flip flop images as the letters. Is there any thing i can download that anyone knows of?

Morning ladies

I am soooo glad it isn't just me who has lost my mojo!! Thing is I haven't started the challenge card, or the card swap card or my ATC and I know melissa posted hers yesterday!! .... Today I WILL try and craft!! but if it doesn't work then I will try and find some more inspiration!

Oh comes home today :j:j:j I was tucked up in bed for 9pm last night :rotfl: thats how bad a day I had!

You should try this place http://www.dafont.com/ I've had a few off there including the transformers font which is great for the boys!!

I hope everyone is ok, have been keeping up with you but not posting as I haven't been allowed to think about crafting recently! I've been decorating! booooo!

Hiya Rusty I could have written this bit of your post!!!

i still haven't done my altered container and today is the closing date so may be frantically doing that this afternoon just because I hate missing out and want to be part of the gang!!

Not started the ATC or the pocket card and I have to do an embossed thank you card still too! Plus Saveapenny's guess whose card challenge!!

I hope that makes you feel beter that you are so definitely not alone!!!

Furry I just can't seem to get started with anything, yet I have spent hours looking through a crafty mag but still nothing unless I was to sit and copy exactly !!

Don't panic about the container as Saveapenny has said I can do it monthly so will be starting a new one on Monday

Morning lovely ladies.

Torrential rain here today - must do some housework and stop my 3yo from climbing the walls! Think I'll get my Mr Men stash from the Lets Make Crds magazine for him.

I'm a bit delicate this morning - was at an awards bash in London last night. It was actually really fun (Financial Services awards!) and every award was accompanied by a song with the words altered to fit the winners - it was very clever and very funny.

Mel - has your backache turned into anything else yet?

Paddington - I hope you're not in too much pain today.

Everyone else - fab cards as always.

Hopefully will be able to pop back later and chat! ENjoy your days - whatever you are up to.

what do you think of this? i am not sure she would know they were flip flops. It isn't really what i want but may have to do, I wanted the actual flip flops to spell out the font.

Mo jo well and truely left the building here so don't worry rusty you are not alone. i have 2 bdays cards and an anniversary one to do and don't know where to start. It's my friends 30th one that is really bugging me. i think i will do her a 21 + vat card but don't know what image to put on it.
I found the older lady in a wine glass image i wanted but the lady is very fat and my friend is currently going to a slimming club so that may not go down to well after all.
