my "embossing challenge card" I used my bug to emboss the card ,swiss dots, then my nesty to cut the scalloped circle then put it through the bug in the bird and tree folder. I heat embossed the edge of my card and the circle with pink then a pearl embossing powder. Oh and the card flower and fibre are all from my prize

    hope you like it. x

Rusty - I'd feel guilty palming the kids off on their grandparents - although the break would be nice!!

Mary - you're back!!!! All I had with my first was gas and air, I was in so much pain with Brandon though that I gave in and had diamorphine!

OAP - beautiful embossed cards, I really like the fibres that you've used.

I've just ordered this from QVC:
    http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/app.detail/params.item.586957

not a bad price really - when bazzill cardstock is 45p a sheet for 12x12.

There's also loads of scrapbook bargains on there, some could be used for cardmaking too. Details are on this page of UKscrappers and the next one:

Love that set of cardstock Mel, you are such a bargain hunter!!!

I didn't have any pain relief with either of my boys. I am a wimp with pain so if I can, anyone can!

Love your card OAP, the pink embossed circle is gorgeous x

what am I missing out on? I click the link and it says this item is out of stock ... I can't see any description or pictures? :(

OAP your card is beautiful! really striking!

I was hoping to make a card or 2 tonight, copying from pics in a magazine, but I have had a horrible evening with the kids and I just want to curl up in a corner and cry instead!

Come on ladies post some more of your lovely cards and inspire me!!

Remember Royal mail are on strike tomorrow so if any of you are expecting parcels then it probably wont be til saturday when they arrive!

I haven't had my funky kits order still  or my other pretty papers minds eye? and I had a dispatch email from calico so I guess it will all turn up on saturday and get me in trouble with OH :rotfl: who is home tomorrow!!
Can you believe it has been 4 weeks since he started work!!
