Making cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (part 2)

oh sorry you've had a bad day rusty. I haven't got any inspiration to make anything either. i bought new papers and embellishments and promarkers and still nothing. Maybe i need new stamps lol.

Flourgirl i tried telling o/h i needed more flowers cos i didn't have the right colour and the cheeky monkey said well can't you colour in a white one with those expensive pens rofl . that'll teach me.

Ooooh feeling like I wish I'd ordered flowers from Calico now!! But also feeling a little relieved that the QVC link doesn't work for me in case they jumped in my trolley!! (whatever 'they' are!! LOL!!)

OAP - really lovely card - I'm loving all these lovely cards with embossing & scallopy circle things - I really am feeling like maybe I NEED a Cuttlebug and/or Nesties (see I don't even really know what they are but feel darn sure I must need them!! :rotfl: Mind you I really should play with some of my new gadgets like crop-o-dile & X-Cut guillotine (or at least get them out of their boxes!! LOL!) before thinking about buying any more!! You ladies have lured me over to the dark side cos its not feeling very MSE at the moment this crafting lark!! LOL!! I'm loving it though!!

Bought a bumper bag of papers today so hopefully I should be able to enter the embossing challenge with some of those!

Good to know I'm not the only one who had no choice in childbirth but gas and air -and I could never master that I got in such a state............lol Oldest is now 41 ! Ooops........grandkids are 17 this year...........think I just got more grey hairs just thinking about that !!:eek:

I think Crafty Place has gone a bit doo-lally!! there are loads of 'New' posts showing up in all the categories but I've previously read them so shouldn't still be showing as 'New' should they?

Check to see if you are logged in (top left corner) I know it logs me out sometimes and all the posts show as new even if I have read them hth

I think I've caught the lack of mojo :eek:.

Have just spent 2 hours tryng to make what should have been a straightforward christening card and I've just thrown it across the room in frustration :rotfl:.

Prolly doesn't help that my shoulder is killing me again and I don't want to take my next lot of tablets too early as I need sleep. How grumpy am I - thank goodness OH is away so he doesn't get the @ss end of it .

Sorry - it looks like the cardstock has sold out now. I have been thinking of buying more cardstock recently so I thought the jewel pads would come in useful. I'm really after more muted tones - a lot of browns, but for the price I couldn't resist.

Rusty - crikey - has it been 4 weeks already??? Just typical isn't it that everything will turn up when your OH is there?? Sorry to hear that you've had a bad day - kids can really test your patience can't they???

Craftygranny - your OH's suggestion made me laugh!!

Trouble is at times mine understands only too well :rotfl:
