Good morning all. I haven't had a chance to read through posts yet, will go do that now. Just wanted to say a big thank you to rusty - your parcel arrived yesterday and they're all gorgeous. :)
I think I may have caught the dreaded lurgy; my head hurt so much yesterday I couldn't look at a computer screen/watch tv/read. I'm waiting for a GP to call me back so I can determine when I'll be safe to visit my sister; I don't think it'll be until after the baby's born. :(

JHB - Glad they arrived safely, fingers crossed its not the dreaded lurgy :( Hope you feel better soon xxx

Guess what!!! My finky kits order arrived 1 month and 2 days after ordering :rotfl: what a nightmare and not even an apology!!!!! how rude!! ... I have lovely stamps though ;)

Big thankyou to Melissa, my ATC arrived this morning along with a load of alota stamped images and some fab and funky lili of the valley stuff!! Thankyou ever so much I can already feel my inspiration coming back to me :D I shall post a pic of the beautiful *noses* atc over on craftyplace and also on my blog.

I have just finished making my ATC for melissa, not 100% happy with it but I think it is just me being fussy! I will try and get it in the post to you later on today Melissa, however it is really raining and thundering hard and Maddison is screaming cause she is obviously scared of the thunder :( so temper tantrums a plenty and a little girl glued to me!

  • 460 pages of craft and cardmaking on a moneysaving website - now that is something!!!! I suppose technically we are making something expensive (cards) into a hobby and you CAN in theory make handmade cards cheaply....but did anyone not realise there are two hobbies - buying and making here.......

    Lol

Rainmac watch for the postie in the morning, I have sent you a little something 1st class post :)

Thank you sooooo much lovely lady, they are all gorgeous :D

I had my appointment at the florist/gift shop and they are happy to sell my nappy cakes and look to sell other stuff too - cards, small gifts etc. I am thrilled but now panicking about everything I have to do to get myself organised. They have taken the two cakes I made to show them and want another 3 or 4 by Thursday plus a selection of cards and maybe some gift bits. I still have the 190 invites to do  Does anyone know how to make time stretch so I can get more done each day? Have to go shopping for supplies tomorrow :j

    Nearly caught up, I think!
Have left comments on blogs, so apologies if I do not give your card a mention here:
The-Wife - great challenge card; I love the flowers. :)
OAP - sounds like a great prize, well done. I love the card you've made with the stash you won. :)
rainmac - 190 cards! 380 bows! Still, it must be nice to know that someone likes your work enough to pay for it. :D [STRIKE]Hope you got on well at the florist's today[/STRIKE] Glad you got on well at the florist's today!!.
qwiksave - fab challenge cards, the colours are gorgeous. Was the cuttlebug alphabet expensive? On the other hand, don't tell me - I can't afford to buy anything else now!
MrsTidge - grerat card; it's very imaginative and unique.
Marg - it sounds like you came home to a complete nightmare. Mind you, maybe it's better that it happened after your holiday - otherwise you might have spent your holiday money on the house instead.
Flourgirl - ouch! You're not having the best of luck lately - is this forum jinxed do you think?:p
Melissa - are you still here? Good luck missus, hope it all goes well x

I'm going to spend the weekend researching hotels now, so will be looking through the Las Vegas thread on the travel & transport forum. We're going away on the 19th November, so we'll be there to see in DD's 21st birthday on the 21st. We're staying for 6 nights, so will probably split the stay between 2 hotels. We get back the day before my graduation, then it's my birthday 3 days after that. :)

rainmac congrats on the florist coming through, is there anything anyone can do to help? die cutting, embossing etc, just to tide you over until things settle into a rythmn, just call.

Flourgirl - sorry you had a fall - hope you're feeling better today and your lump isn't too big!

Dawnteabag - fab embossed card - I really like the combination of colours that you've used.

Paddingtondoo - well done on getting all your chores done. What's the core'dinations cardstock like - I've never used it?

Rusty - don't panic about sending me my swap, I just wanted to get yours sent quickly just in case. I am still so far behind with all my challenges/swaps etc. I just had a sudden moment of inspiration when it came to making your fat page - I'm glad you liked it and that your stuff arrived safely.

Mrs.Tidge - how posh - going to an awards ceremony!!! My back ache is still back ache!!!

Jailhousebabe - hope you feel better soon, and yes I'm still here!!!

Rainmac - congrats on your meeting with the florist - how exciting!!!! Sorry I haven't figured how to lengthen time so I'm no use, sounds like you're going to be busy - you'll be fine - you are always so organised!!!

Rainmac congratulations!! You should be soooo proud ... sorry I don't know how to stretch time, but if I lived closer I would come give you a hand you know that :)

I had a fab afternoon at the school watching the school play .... came out of school and had a fab time splashing in the puddles with the kids ... they are still outside now splashing in the water both are soaking ... I only came in to make a cuppa tea for us all and the freshly cleaned kitchen is flooded :( we have a leaky roof  OH should be home within the next hour - 1.5 hours and I am sooo stressed now that I give up lol if he moans when he comes in tough! I don't care!!

Rusty - no still no signs yet - I wish I knew exactly when he was coming so that I could prepare myself. Every twinge I get I start panicking. Typical isn't it - you clean the floor - then the kitchen floods!!!
