    Violetta...welcome
I usualy just print the Invitaion wording directly on the card the wording inside I print on either good quality parchment paper or white/cream paper to suit the card
Best way to stick the inserts in is to use a bit of double sided tape ( for paper) on the left side of the inside of the card, place your insert on the right side, not to close to the crease then close the card
For velum ...you would either have to buy special velum tape or glue dots or have the tape show through but sticking it would be the same
Others might have different ways but thats my way of doing the inserts
You can find some good templates online for making the inserts with example of wording styles. Just let me know if you need them
Thankyou, that advice is exactly what I needed, so any paper would do I thought it had to be vellum, that makes things easier, can you easily buy the insert paper or do you have to cut it to size and fold yourself?

Violetta - the hearts and wording look fab. You tend to find that wedding invites tend to be quite simple with hardly any fuss on the front. If you wanted to tart it up a bit you could tie a ribbon around the spine - that looks quite effective. As your embellishments are quite fiddly you'd probably be better using something like pva glue - it dries clear, and maybe applying it with a cocktail stick to the fiddly bits. You're probably better off printing the invite wording onto some plain paper and then sticking it on with double sided tape, vellum can be a pain to stick down as often the adhesive that you've used shows through. Hope this helps - good luck!!!!
Thankyou after consultation with my oh I've bought the hearts in purple and the wording in lilac (got to let him have some input) the ribbon sounds nice too but I am terrible at tying pretty bows, will have a think about that though.
Just got to get my intended on the case with printing out the inserts, oh here we go, only 5 more months to get everything organised:eek:
    Booo!!!

I know we have only decided in the last few months to do the deed, I think if I planned it years ahead it would just give me more time to get stressed and worry about things. (well thats what I'm hoping anyway lol)

    Me neither Bunbun!
I'm not sure I'd have anything to blog about but I need to know more about how it all works so I can look at others & comment.
We could do with a list of who of our friends on here has one, with links. I always follow when there is a link - then get lost........
    Can someone help us please?
  • Morning ladies, my comp won't let me follow links today but I'm sure your blogs are fab.

I just popped on quick to say that Flourgirl is a very naughty girl!! I got home last night to find a huge bag full of crafting goodies and beautiful cards! but no return address! I can't believe how kind you are on here, first Saveapenny taking time out to explain inserts to me and sending me emails of gorgeous papers and templates and now flourgirl spoiling me with papers, threads, embellishments, glitter......... I am a very spoilt happy girl today! thank you both so so much!!

I am a bit nervous with the tearing card idea but I'll have a go!

Sunrise your easter cards are lovely.
And I'm loving all your blogs! How does it all work then? Think I would like to have somewhere to store all my work.
Well here's one of my Mothers Day Card, no inspiration so very basic, and noticed my wording is abit wonky!
