I ended up putting one breast in the freezer (ooer, that sounds a bit strange...) to do something or other with at another time, and the rest got pulled into lumps and added to a spag bol type sauce to top up the mince, in the last few minutes. The lumps that stayed in one piece were ok, and the bits that crumbled up just made the sauce really thick, so it was all right in the end. Not one to go on the favourites list, but better than wasting it.
It bulked out the spag topping so much that I've got a load left over to use as jacket potato topping tonight.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

Thinking it would be money saving I bought a huge turkey crown whoopsied for xmas just after Easter. Anyway somehow the freezer was left open since last night . Now im left with a huge turkey crown not much space in freezer as lucky not much else defrosted. How do i rescue it? Im thinking cook and freeze? But not sure if it'll dry out when reheated. There is only me and little one here to feed atm. Ideas please?

Cook it, cool it quickly, slice it, then freeze it in mangeable portions covered in gravy (instant is fine) - stops it from drying out. I do this whenever I have spare turkey.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0

Think fridge is not a good idea, as it warms up the fridge at the same time. Just in a cool place.0 -
