    I'm 21 and aim to have first house paid off in 9 yrs and second in mmm well another 20 yrs or so i suppose!!

    I'm 46 and there's 17 years left on our mortgage, we owe £49000 or thereabouts. But we have overpayed some, and we will have it cleared long before time allowed.

    i'm 27 husband is 25. We were aiming to be MF in 5 years but just had a new addition so we will be overpaying as much as possible then moving up and keeping overpaying again.

    That's so true...just typed £5 in to the calculator and it would reduce our term by 5 months! Amazing really for a fiver!!!!

    Well done! If I had 17 month to go I'd be working 20 hour days and living on cold baked beans to get it done! :-)

    We're just about managing to overpaying by £650 a month:eek: and MIL already thinks the bad DIL starve her darling No.1 son

    Am 32 and would love to pay it off by 45....not sure we're going to make it!!
    Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
    Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞

    38 and 39, should be paid off before I'm 40 and before DH reaches 41.:j

    Balance 19th April '07 = minus £27,640
    Balance 1st November '09 = mortgage paid off with £1903 left over. Title deeds are now ours.
