  • Hadn't received email, but tried to initiate my claim and worked... few minutes later I did receive the second email! Coincidence? Me thinks not.

My wife can't initiate hers though, wait and keep trying...

TBH I am totally sick to the teeth of all this logging in with no success, just tried again and as usual I was rejected!

I think I am going to have a break from the forum because when I keep reading of people who have got their money I get even more depressed, don't get me wrong I am pleased for you but I feel totally left out TBH. :o

    Good luck to everyone. :)

I feel the same to be honest

Done and dusted, what a beaut!
    The moral of this story
    is very plain to see
You may mess with me money,
    but never mess with me!

:rotfl: It is great, I honestly think Private Eye or some similar publisher may be interested!

I've done some figures on the interest front in order to rationalise my "loss".

I placed a sum on 1 year deposit at 6.7%, maturing on 31st October. I will receive interest to 7th October and assuming the earliest I could get my money now would be 1st December the effective rate is 5.77%, reducing by 0.03% for every day's delay beyond that.

So assuming I would have put my money in an account at say 6%, my actual loss is only 0.23% rather than around 1%. Still a fair sum but I feel a little better having gone through the process.

I still have not had a second email but initiated my claim last night although still have not had an email acknowledging claim like some have. Tried to log in just to see if i still could but it just keeps saying my password is incorrect. Not sure if everything is going to go through all right - just be glad when the money is in my bank account then I can finally stop worrying!

Once you've claimed you cannot log in again (after a few hours anyway).

If you havent had the 2nd email I am not particularly surprised you have had the confirmation email.

The claim gets you the money - that is what matters. Sod the emails.

Maybe only the people who have had their money back should look at this thread now:embarasse
