Been a long day. I read the forums in my lunch hour, but can't pick up my e-mails at work. Welllll, what did I find when I got home and logged on- sent at 12.01 today. Very pleased, bit nervous when initiating, as I have had to nominate my "second choice" account to pay into, but fingers crossed all went well. Thanks for all the laughs everyone, I wish you all success in the quest, and am sure that this will be a productive week for many of you. I will keep checking in, just to see how long it runs for. Maybe you need an Advent style calendar to count down to Dec 4th?!

From looking at the poll figures about half of the 142 who had not received their second emails at the weekend have now received them and most of that half were today.

If they send out the same number of second emails tomorrow, which is quite possible, then that should be everyone else.

That only leaves the 16,000 without linked accounts, who will go through the paper process, but you should already know if you are unfortunate enough to be in this category or one of the similar categories.

An excellent analysis. I am convinced they will be sending as many 2nd emails tomorrow, though I am slightly worried that if the site seems to be flaky, as some have reported, they may reduce the number.

Nilrem and others who are still waiting like myself, I have a (potential) ray of hope. I checked on the cleared balance date-change which others have mentioned here (i.e. that accounts to be released suddenly start showing the current date next to "cleared balance). I compared mine, which now also shows 25 November, with earlier screen-grabs I had made and buddabing: all the previous ones had the "cleared balance" date frozen on 08/10/10 (irrespective of the date I had logged on). So, something has indeed changed on my account, which makes me think something might happen soon...

PS. Hopes this convoluted explanation lakes sense, sorry, rather knackered after long day.:o

I hope you are right. I do have a linked account but I also had to send a blank email to initiate my first email.

I am not feeling positive, though Stormy also had to send a blank email and he has initiated his claim.

I just don't want the hassle to be honest of having to go down the route of a paper claim

My analysis is as follows (though too tired to care anymore)
1) FSCS just got the rest of the funding released by govt
2) Hamster been overfed and has had a severe bout of diarrhea

Thanks you lot, my account also shows 25th November, so at least Im hopeful for tomorrow. I wasnt too bothered about the second email until today when I saw so many people getting theirs and wondered if I might too. Good luck everyone for tomorrow.
