Enzo - well my balanced cleared thing is 25th nov so from what you're saying I could get email tomorrow. I will wait till tomorrow evening and if no email will attempt my initiating claim!

Well just back in. And the really good news is that my mum has now received her second email, and logged in and initiated her ISA and instant access accounts. It is a massive relief as it was entirely my fault that she invested in icesave in the first place. I was lucky myself to get my funds returned 8 days ago but my mum's was the really important second email.

Great news to hear that Chameleon as one of the "big 3"" has initiated her compensation. And that so many have initiated their compensation today.

I will still be hanging around to see nilrem, suesie99 and the other regulars and not so regulars get their money back. It must be tough to see all the other reports of second emails and initiations and not to get yours.

Pendle Gazza perhaps you did get your second email on your birthday after all, if not a belated birtday present at least.

Woo hoo I've got my email :T It arrived at 4.46pm so too late to initiate the transfer today but I am so bleeding relieved! Not a moment too soon, I've had to book the car in for tyres on Saturday and was going to have to bung it on a credit card!

Thanks all for keeping me reasonably sane through this, I really hope that everyone else gets their emails and their money back soon.

I guess we'll never know the whys and wherefores of this whole process, but why do you think the sudden rush of emails today? Doesn't it make a mockery of the whole phased payout system? System can't cope, my a*se. They could have paid everyone weeks ago!
