Back to the FSCS figures. 100,000 second emails sent out of 200,000 but only £1bn paid out out of £4bn. Something tells me that the larger payments are being held back  .
not quite. i would have thought mine would have been paid back by now then. by comparison to the majority of people who seem to have had their money back I have nothing compared to them, wayyyyy below the fscs guaranteed limitStudent Moneysaving Expert :beer:0 -
I do understand, one of my family was killed by a speeding lorry 10 years ago, it changed our lives in an unimaginable way and though things do improve with time you never get over it.:o
(So sorry to be morbid!)
So so sorry to hear that.................."Serious money saving Diva"........................................:p

yes it is....my son tried to take his own life last year, but thankfully wasnt sucessfull, howvere it was a very upsetting time.......................
You've probably heard this before and hopefully it might be a source of comfort to Streetperson's daughter and her friends, but when someone gets to the stage of attempting/commiting suicide they think it's the only way out and that they're actually doing their friends/family a favour, if that makes sense. They can't comprehend the devastation their actions will leave behind and think everyone will be better off without them“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I was in the RAF for twenty plus years and regardless of how !!!!!! things got, you never stopped moaning but more importantly you never stopped joking.
Know exactly what you mean. 30 years combined Army and Police service, and it is definitely humour and comradeship that see you through the most traumatic times. In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
I am really sorry to read about other peoples misfortunes that really have been very untimely
I know this thread isn't the best place to say this, BUT the way the FSCS has handled this has been nothing sort of spectacular. Payouts that have happened faster than ever expected, quick swift claims processing and easy to contact in case of problems. I for one can not see how the claims process could have been improved, remember when ICESAVE went under there were massive problems (and still are) with Icelands passport scheme, and how we were all told to expect payouts the other side Christmas. It is definitely frustrating the payouts being phased, but there are obviously many genuine reasons why.
It's been a massive turnaround and I'm glad to hear other people have had their money back already, I for one am still waiting on my "no. 2" but will be sitting tight and waiting patiently for my email to come around
Don't forget that some people have had their emails over the weekend as well! Here's to hoping
Have a good weekend all!Student Moneysaving Expert :beer:0
