Payouts that have happened faster than ever expected, quick swift claims processing and easy to contact in case of problems. I for one can not see how the claims process could have been improved, remember when ICESAVE went under there were massive problems (and still are) with Icelands passport scheme, and how we were all told to expect payouts the other side Christmas. It is definitely frustrating the payouts being phased, but there are obviously many genuine reasons why.
It's been a massive turnaround and I'm glad to hear other people have had their money back already, I for one am still waiting on my "no. 2" but will be sitting tight and waiting patiently for my email to come around
Clearly you do not have money issues if you think it is spectacular!!0 -

Don't forget that some people have had their emails over the weekend as well! Here's to hoping
Have a good weekend all!

Still none for me. Problem is i wasn't quite so concerned as i knew i would be getting mine sooner or later, but with all these threads cropping up i keep on checking my email (and MSE) more and more...
The main reason being the release of the money and the timely fall of the interest rates makes it worse and makes me more anxious to get my money back.
Damn you people!
I think the second email has arrived for muddy the watersIn memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
And the next ball is:
It's on the red, it's Loretta's blunder again, 27 thousand and ten
If you do a google search on Loretta you will find out her family is famous for a business making ICE cream! The Minghella ice cream slogan is "one lick and it's love".
And her brother is the film director Anthony Minghella, famous for directing Cold Mountain.
You just couldn't make it up could you. :rotfl:MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here0 -
Arghhh don't you just hate it when you click thanks instead of quote :wall:“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Surprisingly it hasn't i don't think my view has changed between my postings, i wouldn't have been quite so concerned, and checking my emails so regularly still if it wasn't for this (and other) threads! damn you nilrem! I still do not have my money back, as I said I am anxious, but I cannot change anything, I have to wait in line along with the rest of you.
I don't know how or why but I seem to have upset a fair few people in my last post, which I apologise for, but although we are the unlucky ones, there would be other like minded people who would be posting now if they weren't from the lucky 100,000. It is basically a lottery, but think logically, what could the FSCS have done any differently?
Lets not get personal... I'd have to be a very lonely person to have to post here once I have already got my moneyStudent Moneysaving Expert :beer:0 -
Just got back from dinner and caught up with posts.
Hearing about so much heartbreak I can only agree with other posters that life, health and happiness are by far the most important things. Infinitely precious, in fact, and all too often taken for granted until they go. Money can be replaced, these other things cannot.
But talking of "replacing money" (which Ms Minghella's crew is meant to do), and on the subject of keeping up our spirits, I have a proposal to make: if in a week's time we are still stuck without that email I am quite willing to rock up at the FSCS in person (with a web-cam attached if you like, for live transmission). I live in London, so it is feasible...;-)0 -
