Just set mine up.
What's the best way to connect it to things. I've bought it principally for tv needs.
I've tuned channels in through the rf and it seems to have that 'squelchy' look of plasmas and lcds. Ditto through my Digifusion FVRT200 Freeview PVR via Scart (which seems to be the only video out on the PVR).
I've not tried my DVD player or Xbox (regular not 360 yet). I don't know what outputs the Xbox has but I think the DVD player has Super Video alongside scart which I am using. Which gives the better picture, supervideo or Scart?
Oh another thing is that I haven't got any decent instructions with it, just one of the 'quick install' type multi-language foldouts, which doesn't explain very much. Am I missing some or did everyone only get the foldout?0 -

I got mine primarily for PC work, so I've not tried a tv feed yet
Its just the foldout (though I think thats quite well written)
Maybe there is a manual on the CD?
Try https://www.avforums.com for any tv or monitor queries , its very good, and there lots of technical support on there from the folks on it. There's a thread on this monitor there too0 -
Well just bought one from PCWorld Merry Hill, theres approx fifteen on the shelf.
Now what to use it for...
I was going to replace my existing tft with this and be able to watch television. What you think out there ?0 -
Finally got mine up and running, picture from the laptop and freeview box via scart looks fine. As ive been warned with LCDs, the picture from the PS2 via the standard cables looks poor, ive been told i need to buy a component cable?? Any idea if the picture be that much better to make the £20 purchase worth it?0

Not sure about PS2, but i've got mine running through the component to the xbox360 and it looks super. I've also ordered a DVi-d cable off ebay to link to my PC, should be a lot better than the VGA cable supplied.0 -
Has anyone tried this on a PC yet? If so - what are the results like? And does it run at full resolution in PC mode?
I have a Samsung 17" 173P monitor and it is great but I am thinking of adding this monitor as my main monitor and using the 17" as an extended desktop.... as my CRT extended desktop monitor is on its way out.0 -

I have tried it with my laptop and it is giving a good picture. You can select what resolution to run it at from your PC or laptop via Control Panel normally and selecting the graphics card to alter its settings
I found the full resolution though wasn't supported by my laptop (ie it doesn't output in 1440 x 900 WXGA+Resolution !). If anyone knows a way around that I would be interested!0 -

See if you can find an updated video driver for your laptop. If you can't, I doubt that you'll be able to run the monitor at the max resolution from the lappy.
It's reasonably common for a LCD to look pretty poor if you try and run it at a resolution that is not it's native. How does this one look?0 -
Mmmm. My concern is the output resolution. My graphics card is relatively new and can support up to 2048 x 1536 but I don't seem to have a choice of 1440 x 900. I have 1200 x 800, 1200 x 960, 120 x 1024, 1360 x 768, 1600 x 900, 1600 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200 around that range. Maybe these are just the settings my card will allow with the monitor I currently have and I may get more options with this new monitor?0

I am running mine @ 1440 by 900 on a 7800gtx graphics card. I also installed the drivers that came with the monitor. I got my Dvi-d lead from ebay this morning, the picture quality, IMHO is great!0
