How is this better ? it is not HD ready, not widescreen and not Samsung for a start. :xmassign:
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????
  • Hello

That aria one is 20" (standard 4:3 ratio) it will no doubt do widescreen but will adapt to fit (granted a good price)

The Dell I bought 19" is widesceen 16:9 with teletext, picture and sound superb and so many conections theres little you couldn't connect to it (scart, svhs, rca, dvi, composite etc etc). Its currently not listed on the website but as soon as they come back I will be after the 23" version for the bedroom. It also has Picture in Picture so surf on one screen and watch TV or a DVD on another...realy nice bit of kit for the money.

    Cheers

    Scott
  • Is this only available online - I see the store collect function is not available - are they likely to be on sale at same price in-store?

In my opinion not really. Remember this is widescreen, HDTV ready, higher contrast ratio and faster response rate, but hey, each to their own ;)

I think pick up in store is off for everything at PCWorld during sale period (thats what website indicates at top)
May be better to buy online- you have more rights to return (I think) :xmastree:
  • it's not available online now due to high demand!!!
  • Meh, just missed out on this one.

I'll see if they've got any in local stores. Reading through the thread I got the impression it's not a web exclusive, so maybe I'll get lucky.

  • not such a great bargain - wait a month or so expect these to drop esp if some new technology comes out as expected in 06.
  • Resolution: VGA (640 x 480) for the Aria one which has lower resolution, I guy I work with who used to repair TV's and is an electronics engineer suggests the samsung are a good make.
