  • Seems an absolute steal to me. The resolution is better than similar models at double the price, built in tv tuner, loads of inputs, decent sounding speakers.

I was so dissapointed when I thought I'd missed out online as looking round (Dixons group, Empire Direct, Micro Direct, Ebay) similar spec tv/monitors are a hell of a lot more more money. You're lucky to get a 15" non-widescreen 'unbranded' nonHD tv for the same price.

A steal. My dad is just picking one up for me instore now.

Thanks to the OP and others!

Just been playing about with it. No dvi cables supplied to link to PC, only VGA, but just linked it up to my xbox 360 in HD mode via the component connections and all i'll say is WOW. Gonna test a few PC games next :)

Im just about to pop down cos theres quite a few still in stock. Im not much of a tv expert, will the cable supplied be fine to plug into a laptop? Or are you saying ill need a different cable to get the best out of it?

I think pick up in store is off for everything at PCWorld during sale period (thats what website indicates at top)
May be better to buy online- you have more rights to return (I think) :xmastree:

  • Cheers OP, bought one now, also realised theres a standard 3 year warranty on samsung monitors which is a nice bonus.

Think you should be OK, you get the standard VGA cable in the box (it should be the blue connection on the back of the laptop)

Went to ASDA earlier in Great Bridge, there was a Relisys 17" widescreen LCD TV doubled up as monitor too.

It was unpriced, and when I eventually managed to get hold of someone they told me the price was between 160 and 270 which was a lot of help!

After 10 mins managed to get hold of someone else who said, as the price has been removed he could not tell me the price! how mad is that!

I am assuming it was on sale and was heavily reduced, anyone know about this model at all? I am also on the market for a TFT or LCD Panel.

    Ideally in the £200 - £250 market.

I've bought the Samsung PC World monitor and I am using it now. Can report a nice picture. Impressed that it comes with a remote control and does PIP - apparently you can watch TV while surfing the internet.

I do think its a bit of a bargain. Earlier posts about sound said very good- seems ok, wouldn't say its great (having said that I would rate most monitors as very poor sound wise, so its better than average)
