:( my postage came up as £4.95 which is too much for me really.
How comes some peoples postage got reduced? tempted to order and see if they call me but that's prob a bad idea as I can't really afford it!

    Great thread thanks op

This site looks very interesting indeed.
I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...
  • I've always wondered what happens to foodstuffs like these. I recon they'll be quite busy with orders over the next few weeks. We are a marmite household and I've never found it so cheap!!!! We'll see what it's like when it arrvies.

    Great find!
  • Nice site, but my delivery is £7.95 so I probably wont be using it I am afraid.
    Loving the dtd thread. x

Besides there isnt really much in the way of ' food ' on this site .

Well yes, precisely. Most of it is total junk food. Why not save even more cash by not buying any of it and do your family a favour by not filling them up with pallets worth of sugar, fat and chemicals? 10 Curry Flavoured Pot Noodles for £1.00, urgh.... The temptation will be to buy enough to justify the postage, of course, but that means your family will eat it twice as fast. Is it real money saving?

Saying that I do buy the family the odd pack of this and that and I noticed when looking at this site that many of the items are the same ones that are in my local Poundstretcher, at almost identical prices. And you can just buy one or two items.
    Val.
  • A lot of what I bought is "treat" food, and I am absolutely delighted that I can finally afford to buy seaweed! As for things like pot noodles, I buy that sort of thing for my family to take to work, quick and easy, and they normally get something like a Dole fruit pot (again, very cheap on this site!!) to go with it. Unfortunately we occasionally need convenience food, but at home we eat healthy and home-made to make up for it. And it would cost me more than I pay for delivery on this site to get to my "local" poundstretcher!

We all have different needs and this site fills one of mine very nicely indeed!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • This site is great for me too. I ordered pot noodles for when my teenager (18's) friends pop in and we dont have enough 'food' to feed them ;) I bought a few things that i wouldnt usually buy but thats because i could afford too at the prices offerred.
Maybe poundstretcher and shops along the same lines are same in price but if i factor my bus fare ( £3.00)and time along with wear and tear on my arms thats well worth the £4.95 postage !!
I just realised that this warehouse is in Nottinghamshire even tho it says south yorkshire.( Its one of those just on the border places) Might be easier for me to pop there next time.

Just noticed that Approved food is a member on here now. Thats great to see.
