Really cheap food...however

I've put off putting in my first order until they get through the backlog they currently have but the notice on the homepage saying about a 12 day backlog has been up for ages! Does anyone know if the backlog is getting any less?

I concur. The first shutdown was needed for exactly the reasons icecubequeen noted, an emergency measure. With the extra staff taken on I think Dan thinks he can keep on top of things even if its rather slow. He mentioned problems with training, so once staff are up to speed, it will get better (hopefully).

Phoned a nice lady at AF and my order may be ready soon, but couldn't give exact date (rather diplomatically answered) I mentioned the problem I had with registering and not having a password to review products, and she said she would pass it on. I'll chase it up in a day or so, because with the great flood of orders to process I imagine it can be forgotten, and its not exactly their highest priority right now. :rolleyes:

i agree, i will re order when all the excitement has gone down, i waited weeks or my order to be misdelivered. i then had to get a refund!:mad:

Yes I am still waiting for my order 18 days tomorrow and counting, and still no sign.
Rang Dan on sat. told me he still had my parcel in the warehouse and had not sent it out because of shortages. Told me it would be with me on Tue.
Rang him on wed. after parcel did not arrive.
Said the parcel had been sent out and he would email DHL to find out what had gone wrong. Received email from DHL saying that banding on parcel had snapped and they had returned parcel to Dan.
So now waiting for parcel to be sent out again.

I would like to point out that yes Dan should have informed me that my parcel had not been sent out due to shortages and not emailed to say it had sent out.

The one thing/s that i can't knock Dan for is this is my 3rd order and the other two went like clockwork
Dan's customer service is 2nd to none.
What company can you ring the boss and get problems solved without going through hoops 1st.
Don't let my experience's with this last order put you off, just read all the positive posts on here.
I would praise Dan for his excellent customer, But his head is already getting to big to fit in the warehouse already!!!!:rotfl::T

One more thing ..... I would like to point out that maybe if i had chased up Dan on this order instead of just waiting for it to be delivered maybe it would have been here by now.
I have had a lot on my mind with my cat Ozzy !!(one in pic.}something wrong with his liver and i have been backwards and forwards to the vet with him. He's got a ultrasound 1st thing on thurs.
Anyone who read my earlier posts that i deleted will understand why i did it.
Thanks to the people who pmed me when they found out i was not lying or tring to cause mischief and apologised to me. You all know who you are Thanks.

I really appreciate all the constructive input there has been on this thread recently, as well as the huge amount of understanding of the challenge we are facing.

The current situation is that, as a result of the huge increase in orders two weeks ago, we are running out of some popular items. Fortunately we have a number of new lines that we can offer as alternatives so we will be phoning people to sort out their orders and ensure that they are happy with the final order.

We have just improved our stock control system again (hell of a learning curve this!) and so out-of-stock items will be indicated on the website. Remember that, as this is clearance stock, supplies are often limited or erratic.

The media exposure continues (thanks to Hush-Puppy for the heads up) but our priority is still to offer the highest possible quality of sevice together with the best bargains available.
