I doubt it , firstly they are moving to other houses and secondly if you were being kicked out , would you pay a removal company to move you?

I know this bad news is hard to swallow, but it seems despite everyones efforts houses are selling

    I don't mind the odd insult ....

Having thought long and hard I have decided on the whole, or at least for the time being, if it isn't too much trouble, not to insult you today, if that's ok with you, as I am unable to get permission from the over-bearing interfering government led by that political nincompoop Gordon the gofer, and also have not established with the European courts whether it will effect your human rights .... thus leading to me being imprisioned for 1 million years with a ball and chain attached to my underpants locality, in a phone booth in central Ipswich, without even basic central heating and running water, with a continual re-run of Eastenders constantly playing .......

Thanks for your patience ........ if you ask nicely tomorrow I'll see what I can do. :p:tongue::wink:

I don't mind the odd insult, certainly don't mind sharp debating, etc.

But the constant ad hominem attacks on this board, especially over the last few days, are just so damn dull.

Whether people live with their old mum, are married or single, have split up or not, own BTL slum properties, have different posting names - can we all just leave it before I expire of terminal bordom?
I couldn't have put it better myself - it seems this site is a competition to see who knows the most rather than trying to help people who post threads to try to genuinely get some help and advice. It seems to be a contest of who can post the most cocky and cleverest "I know more than you" replies.

I posted my first thread asking for genuine help (in these trying times) and have had nothing but a barrage of abuse and cocky replies which have nothing to do with what I am actually trying to find out!

    Awaiting genuine help in vain.....................

You're the comedian who wanted advice on how to puchase a buy to let flat with tax credits. And you expected a serious reply? :rotfl:

riapr. Honestly, I really wouldn`t go down the road of btl. Just ask others now why they wouldn`t do that. There are so many reasons that I, for one, wouldn`t do it. In my situation I am mortgage free, both my wife and I are in employment and we have enough cash to put down deposits on a couple of places. Plus we have back up funds.

Would you really want to get involved in a crashing market? Why not sit back and see what happens in a year or two.

    With !!!!in' tax credits???
Tax credits annoy me immensely in the first place. The concept was they were supposed to be for poor people, but they've not been. As this shows.

People being able to count tax credits as income to gain large mortgages has been part of the problem.

Tax credits never helped anybody but Gordon. They pushed up the price of goods/services ... people had money to spend/waste, so they did... which created more demand .. etc .. bubble thingy ... and a house... etc.... more more more.

People like her are loaded because of tax credits. Investing. Buying property. It's just not right!
