A lot of the people who have been throwing insults over the past couple of days have very interesting things to say, so I don't want to put them on "ignore". I just want them to be interesting again!
I don't want to use the ignore feature either. Some of the most acerbic or snide posters are also some of those who raise the most interesting points. some who have very different attitudes to me also have a wealth of experience, which I just don't have, so to lose insight into their experiences would be a shame. I don't want to read threads all of the same opinion, but I don't really care about who thinks who has pent up frustration, is a failure, tc etc. I don't mind the witty jibes (I admit, I laugh sometimes) and the almost friendly banter, but there are a lot of contributers I really wouldn't want to meet. I used to be very vocal about how nasty it could be. It was worse when there were a series of new posters who were absolutely jumped upon with no remorse, that was rally disreputable behaviour. (who knows now who is new and whose just been rechristened?).
Reading the comments in this thread I wonder if some people realise they do it?0 -

Hugs and kisses all round......the problem is its game over for hpi and btl as a working model...so there are no bulls who are serious left...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

Mewbie, I know I have said this before, but it is worth saying yet again, initially I found your posts somewhat...er...abrasive, but you responded to complaints with graciousness and by ditching the rubbish let your fantastically humourous and often (scarily
) the cleverest posts in a thread stand on merit rather than , er brashness.
(I still don't know who else you are, but you're sharp!)0
