I take the good with the bad....at the very least, it improves my knowledge.

Some posts I do think are over personal but then that is the nature of forums really, sometimes a comment meant in humour can be taken the wrong way or someone will know another and make comments that the other person will find funny but others think are being nasty.

I do sometimes ponder on having a different user name where I can ditch the nicey nicey me and become the raging mad woman who says what she thinks but I would soon resort to being nicey nicey me again as I hate thinking that I have hurt someones feelings! :rotfl:

Mind you, I think I will have to stop posting on threads which talk about social housing....I am starting to sound like a broken record :D

Agree with you Sue. I learn from the board, both the useful and the not so useful. ;)

I do think it is usually clear when someone is being intentionally unpleasant and that probably says more about them than about anyone else.

And you are right. A 'good egg' will remain one. Your personality will always come across in the end. Although I do admit to having to bite my tongue (figuratively speaking) sometimes and rein in my sarcastic side. It's not constructive and is purely self-gratifying to slag off someone else. Like most forms of aggression, it leads on to retaliation and more of the same. You can have a good discussion and debate without the insults.

On your last point, why not talk about whatever you want. Everybody else does! :D

Are you saying I insult people, never my intention, or is it because I don't think the market is not going to crash 70%.
