just to let peolpe know that n power have just told me that they do not take people who are DLA or MOBILITY for there discount,
Hi,
Well my mum gets DLA Mobility and Care and was accepted by NPower a few months ago for their 'Spreading Warmth' social tariff as her total income was under £12.5k I think it was.
Seems like they change the rules on a daily basis!

Me likewise. I get DLA and a War Pension and was accepted by n power for the same tariff (and get a rebate in January) as my total income (ignoring savings) was under about £12,500 pounds.

like you both keep saying you get it because you earn under 13k not because you get DLA. OR MOBILITY0

Hi there
I spoke with N-power to-day myself about this scheme and Dla is not counted as part of income, which is correct.

My dad is over 70 and getting attendance allowance. He is currently with eon/powergen for gas and I see that they have a staywarm tariff for the elderly but cannot see any sign of how it's tariff compares with their others. If it is cheaper than the standard one my dad is on I will try and get eon to switch him to the lower tariff. Unfortunately I can't find their tariff price list.
Any help?0 -

He categorically told me they had filled their quota on the tariff above and would NOT be doing anything else to replace it. Since ringing British Gas today I have found several posts on this site saying the same thing. Weird.
Exatly what BG told me, they offered me free insulation and cavity wall instead.0
