Travel from Dover to Dunkirk this December and stock up for you festive activities. To help get you started, DFDS Seaways are giving away free €10 shopping vouchers for the Auchan hypermarket in Dunkirk for you to spend.

And it is that much nearer the cheap tobacco in Belgium.

I have never used DFDS before but the cost for a daytrip on the same day as I am using the tunnel comes out at £29 Dover to Dunkirk, so that is pretty good. It is a longer trip though at 2 hours.

The P&O/Daily Mail offer is still live, £15 for an afternoon return, or £19 for a day or next day return. Not valid this weekend or next though. although it letting me use the 12:05 out on the 2nd and the 23:35 back on Sat 2nd for £15, so worth a go, must book by 31st oct and travel by 10th Nov. Free bottle of wine, we got Piat D'or, only option, red white or rose.

Went the other sat, same times as above, plenty of time to stock up on cigs, stroll round Cite Europe and Carrefour there, fill up with diesel, not such a bargain now, €1.31/L and scoff some chips on the seafront, I know how to treat a lady lol.

PO ferries are doing the six bottles of wine and a crossing for £25 if you book from 4 November - 2 December, and travel up to 13 December (I think).
Will take them on the offer I think as going to France on the 7 December.

I spotted this earlier too. £30 for a Saturday but still good value including the wine (wine isn't amazing but it'll do to chuck in casseroles etc). If you're not too far from Dover it's a nice day out.

Sorry to keep plugging it but the Mail offer, in my post a couple up, is still showing £15 return for Dec 7th (sat) only 1 bottle of wine though. Only afternoon returns for that price but the 12:05 out and a lateish one back is still a good value.

or you could stay over and come back Sunday anytime for £22. Cheap F1 hotel for £16 Boulogne, or £25 Calais nice little break and the hypermarkets usually open on Sundays in December.

I normally go over about 0925, and come back about 1905 or there abouts (can't remember exactly what time it is without looking)

    Does sound good though x
