MSE forum has played its part ?
The price war continues, as the Channel Tunnel supported venture, tries to justify its existence. [It sort of reminds me of Microsoft bailing out Apple]

You know it makes sense when over in Calais they are an hour ahead of us.
You know the Dartford crossing is free from 22:00 - 06:00 and that the jams on the M25 can start any time after 06:00 (07:30 on Saturday and 09:00 on Sunday).

P&O Daily Mail offer back on, Dover Calais day trips for £1 foot passengers, £15, afternoon return Saturdays too, for a car and 4 people, or £19 for a stay overnight return. Free bottle of wine thrown in for car bookings.
The fare is booked as 2 £7.50/£9.50 singles, if the outward trip shows as higher than you expected, click the later sailing button and see if the price changes, if it does click the earlier sailing button and the price sometimes drops.
Not sure the booze prices are much different these days, with the offers on over here but for us dirty smokers a quick, toll free run along to Belgium makes sense.

Yes but you could use the 38 deal for a long weekend in Paris or what ever at this time of year.
Late autumn rain is somehow appropriate for getting ahead of next year's crowds, to remember WW1.

I guess that many people will want to use this for a daytrip, and there are a lot of exclusions for the £38, so it is only fair to tell people that
EUROTUNNEL ARE DOING DAYTRIPS TO CALAIS IN THE SAME PERIOD FOR £23
I have just booked one and there are quite a few places left.:D0
