  • Hi
Just booked a gite for July in northern France and looking for a convenient ferry crossing. The L D Lines Portsmouth to Le Havre looks suitable, has anybody had any experience with them and are there any discounts or vouchers available so we can get the price down a bit.
    Thanks for any help.

It seems that most ferry operators only let you check prices 60 days in advance for day trips. :) I am having a day trip 16 April and I tried last month and I was getting stupid prices but that was because I was doing it too soon. Just to help you out. It will give you really expensive prices if you do it too far in advance :) Just checked 3 operators today and it seems the same thing, last month for a day trip, stupid prices and now because it's closer normal prices :)

To add more to a previous point I made.

Oh just managed to get £15 each way for my day trip on 16 April. I checked last week, £45 each way, checked tonight and £15 so just booked now.

  • Hi

I saw the new newspaper offer for £1 foot passenger day trips to France - however i'm wanting to leave Dover on the 21st April and return on the 26th.

Is there anyway to get the £1 offer? Would i be penalized for booking two separate day trips and using the return on the later date?

    any help gladly received.

I think they do a check on the return journey to make sure the outward part has been used. I am not certain, but otherwise everybody would do it to get a cheap holiday.

BTW Which newspaper is running the offer?
Thank you for reading this message.
