If you dont use the return half of the ticket when you should (on a cheap day return) you will be charged the FULL rack rate for the one way trip.
THat's what I was worried about. Better to ask now and find out! Thanks

  • Hello,

I have just booked this special offer and code, however my confirmation does not mention the free bottles of wine or meal voucher - is this normal?

    Thanks

Yes, I booked a cheapy day trip last week, £15 using a code, didn't expect the wine, didn't even know about, no mention in the confirmation e-mail but a voucher was attached to the ticket I got at the check-in booth. Mine was for 1 bottle and it had to be collected from the shop on the OUTWARD journey from Dover.

No meal offer for me but would imagine the voucher will be issued in a similar way.

Read the small print carefully! The offer of 6 bottles of wine and 2 for 1 meals is per booking (car). So if you turn up with a bunch of mates you will be sharing the wine, and all but one of you will be paying for meals !
Thank you for reading this message.
  • Thanks for the replies, P&O emailed me back to confirm I'll be getting the vouchers - just 2 of us going so that's 3 bottles each and half prices breakfast, result!

Inflation & tax increases have killed off the 5 pound crossing with a free breakfast, but if you want a day out in France plus cheap(er) booze and fags, this opportunity still makes sense:

Take a day trip to Calais before 31st March and receive two great
    onboard offers.

Not only will you receive six free bottles of JP Chenet wine (red, white
or ros!), but you'll also receive a voucher entitling you to a 'buy one
get one free' English Breakfast or Fish & Chips in our onboard Food Court!

You can book this special offer until Thursday 10th February.

BOOK A DAY TRIP TO FRANCE...

    dover to calais
    day return web fare from

    includes a car
    and up to 9 people

    travel by 31st March
    £19*

  • I live in France.

These offers are not applicable if you do the trip in reverse.

Are there any wheezes so I can take advantage of a special offer like this?

We normally come over to UK for 5 days or so at a time to visit family.
