We put them up early on first weekend in Dec, like to enjoy the festive runup to Christmas with them up, but as soon as Boxing day is over we take them down, on the 27th. It just doesn't feel right having them up after that, feel like cleaning the house and tidying it all up!Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0

lol - i don't think ANYBODY would be able to make me clean. I have faaar more important things to do, ie; browsing MSE, drinking coffee, writing lists of things to buy for the crafts i'm making, downloading and printing gift tags... the list goes on... and on... and on!!! LOL0

Ours normally go up on the 1st but this year the kids are doing them on the 29th so when I come out of hospital I won't try to do them myself. Although I'm getting the urge to put some up now.0

Hi Beki, good on you. I love Christmas and for years (even pre dd) I always put our decorations up on the 1st December. Since dd has got involved in putting them up too (she is 5) I now put the tree up with the lights on 30 Nov when she is in bed. This way it is ready for her to decorate on the 1st.little_miss_thrifty wrote: »Ooo, love Hallowe'en too though! I wish it was on for a week!
I love Halloween too and put up our decorations a week in advance (just to get the benefit of them of course). The last couple of years I have had a party for my dd's friends, but we didn't this year so I didn't really have an excuse, but they were still up for about 9 days!:xmassmileExcited about Christmas 2009:xmassmile
