When are you putting the decs up?

I know it's way early, but we're putting ours up on saturday

Last year was our first year here in this house, and we were feeling decidedly festive! So we decided to put them up in the middle of November. It was our best Christmas EVER, feeling-festive-wise! :T

And saturday is mine and the OH's anniversary, so we figured why not put the decs up and make a day of it? :beer: Everyone has said to us we're stupid, and we should wait until December. But i figure - they don't have to live with us, we love it, and it's doing no one any harm... just making us happier!

I'm so excited!! :j When do you put yours up?

errr well when you have children you can only put them up about a week before otherwise it hypes them up completely :eek: :rotfl:

I normally have the outside lights on for November 15th as that is my sons birthday and he gets to switch them on then. This year as my disability has got far worse it won't happen

Am going to put ours up sometime over the next 2 weeks - its so lovely coming home to a festive glow on dark cold nights.

Have comprimised with the husband as it would normally have been up in the first week of November

Just as an aside - we recieved our first christmas card last week!!! So it seems i'm not the only one who's a tad premature lol

we have 3 dds, youngest is now 13 (or will be in 2 weeks), so we have never put deccies up before 1st dec, especially since the youngest was born as it takes some of her birthday celebration away from her.....

personally 1st december is fine by me..... even the kids have not let me hear carols until then.... bah humbug....
