Hmmm,
I did say in the OP "to cut a long story short" part of the longer story was that the JCP advisor had to be persuaded by me to do it my way, the fact that I was outright refusing to do it their way, meant that the JCP advisor had no option but to "happily" comply with my request. I think to be fair "happily" was not the correct term to use to describe how my refusal was recieved. I was just cutting down a long story.
OK, but we only had your (short) version to go on!0 -
Perhaps the threat of job cuts may serve to educate them as to the value of empathy in their role rather than the usual contempt displayed by so many.
I dont think there is contempt by many but that is just one persons opinion as youre opinion is just one persons view. Oddly further down you accuse someone of speaking for everbody which you seem to be doing here!0 -
Not many of you deserve an update to this story, but here's my last 2p to you lot.
The problem is finished. I spoke again to processing, who wanted me to return to jobcentre and allow my documents to be copied. By way of an olive branch I offered to come directly to their office to let the dog see the rabbit. This was met with an initial negative response then they went to discuss it with a manager, came back 3 min later and suddenly everything was fine they had no need to see the actual documents for themselves and could trust the eyes of the JCP advisor,
Looks like I won't be having to set a legal precedent afterall.
Thanks to the 10% of you who either could see my POV or who could respond to the qu's without vitriol.0 -

How is that post in any way speaking or attempting to speak for others? I was referring to the contempt displayed by so many involved in dwp for their clients.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
All that nonsense for nothing then ?
Superb. Meanwhile while you've got them running about at your every whim there's half a hundred other claims falling off their desks.
Result for you then. Sleep easy. But pity the poor sod who won't get a payment today due to your principles.0 -
Deary me, I'm shocked and surprised to hear that you aren't really required to supply the information in photocopy format! It would seem a stipulation was being applied to your claim under threat of disqualification that could not have been justified, I wonder how many others would challenge such a demand with the fear of their claim being declined?
I suppose you were just expected to tug your forelock and supply the photocopies.
As for wasting time then the finger should be pointed to the individual who made and pursued this obviously unnecessary request in the first place not the op.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Ben 500, you are quick to judge benefits advisors and their attitudes to their customers, but what are you basing your opinions on? First hand experience?Hanny:easter_ba0

Right so this is just youre opinion. You must have been involved with many people at the DWP all over the Country to know of this contempt!0
