Not really much to add except just be grateful that you ARE on benefits and so CAN get a crisis loan.

When me and my o/h hadmoney troubles no one would help us because we work.

Anybody can get a crisis loan, working or not hun, not sure who told you differently.

I would rather work than be on benefits but can't at the moment.

IS CAN reclaim their payment from the original account and pay it to the other one.
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Thats not true, you can apply yes, but the chances of getting one are next to nothing. and unfotunaely with working, i dont exactly have all day to que at the cab lol i know how hard it is, me, my o/h and daughter (we have 2 kids now though) regularly used to only have £15-£20 a week to buy food with, so i know where youre coming from.

You must of known that you were getting the £50 tomorrow so quite frankly, you should be more than ok for another week and then some

I think its going to depend on if they can be bothered, the two men I spoke to today just didn't seem to care, although the first one kept putting me on hold.

Even people on benefits aren't guaranteed them, it depends on what money you have and have had and when, not whether you work or not. I got a crisis loan years ago when myself and my then boyfriend both worked full time but had no money for food.

Are you saying that £50 is ample enough to live on for over a week for a family of 2 adults (1 of whom is pregnant) a toddler and 2 dogs???? We have meters for both gas and electric so they need money putting on them so the £50 couldn't be used for just food.

Yes, i do ive done it myself. being pregnent has nothing to do with it, the saying 'eating for two', is just that, a saying.

if you cant afford to feed the dogs though then maybe you should look at rehoming them.

I can afford to feed them thank you very much, well I can when IS doesn't mess up! Can you do a break down then of how £50 would be spent for over a week including gas and electric and then if you think its adaquate enough for long term add water rates, tv etc into that too because unless you live on 8p noodles it just doesn't stretch, for one week maybe but thats literally on the basics.
