If the reports are right about 10,000 e mails sent out in a week, then to quote an old saying "somebody had better get their finger out" if the fscs want to make their target of 4th December............sanfly0

Received today at 2.14. Claim initiated.

Now tried resetting password 3 times over the past 4 days in order to try and log on after getting the second email, still can't log on to the website.
I now have to get a new user ID through the post in a few days in the HOPE that it might work.
I guess the system was never going to be straightforward for everyone!!!!0 -
Just got back from work - checked email and YES, YES YES its here!

On a slightly different topic, an article in the Telegraph (link here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/savings/3471622/Icesave-customers-start-to-receive-their-money.html ) quotes the FSCS as saying that the majority of ICEsave fixed-term holders are opting to claim back now rather than waiting for maturity.
If this is the case, I wonder why it might be so given the currently available interest rates? Perhaps many accounts have only a short time to run in any case, or perhaps folks have little faith in the security of their money with the FSCS (who should surely be safe as any body in these uncertain times), or....? Your thoughts much appreciated!
I'm a bit puzzled about this Implicateorder as well as I had decided to leave it until maturity next August ! I had a bond which matured and reinvested it. Now dithering just a little bit0 -

My wifes Term account matured on Friday but had it not we would have left it to mature. The Fixed Term rates are dropping all the time.
If the BoE rate drops again next, month which I expect it to, then these vehicles are going to drop again.
So leaving a Term account with FSCS would appear to make sense. Even if it takes say 6 weeks to get the money on maturity you will still be "quids in".0
