That should work, I did it with one of our 2 accounts so there were different email addresses registered for them
I also then sent a blank email to the FSCS using the email address they provided for those who had not received the first email - to make sure they were aware of it - and got the standard reply which I acknowledged as per instructions.

Can anyone from those who have received their second email, volunteer the amount they are withdrawing?
When I read a thread (maybe this one) a few days ago, someone had been invited to withdraw £7k. I was wondering if we're talking about withdrawl invitations based on minimum to maximum deposits, i.e the more you have in deposit the longer and more likely you are to be at the back of the queue ?0 -
Is there anything to stop you initiating the claim before you get the 2nd email? When I log into my account there is a link next to my account to initiate the fcsc claim? Anyone tried it ?0

I made this point a couple of days ago. It would be just typical, wouldn't it!? However, someone on moneysupermarket withdrew 70K yesterday evening. I guess, then, that it is totally random; and since it is, why isn't it my turn next?!0 -
In all the confusion, just had a  panicky  thought. I got my own email through last week (without having to email them). I wasn't meant to reply to THAT one was I? (I'm 95% sure I wasn't, but ....)0

Several people have already tried to press the button but alas they are no longer with us as terrible things happened to them due to being so impatient
You could always try it yourself and you might be the lucky one! :j Alternatively, you might receive a message stating that if you don't see an option to proceed then it means you've not yet received the 2nd email“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

I should the link is activated at the same time as the email is generated, so depending on how slow you are to get your email 1 minute to an hour - not much to gain from it.
Unless of course - pressing it out of turn puts you at the back of the queue, in which case go ahead then I can jump one more place"How could I have been so mistaken as to trust the experts" - John F Kennedy 19620 -
