Hi Kirstin - try not to beat yourself up too much re the money - we all have our months when everything is money money money but at the end of the day we know that its just a one off, and we'll be back to being a DFW straight away. I know how you feel re the hen do, i'm exactly the same. With people i don't know that well i always put extra effort in to look good, but i'll next it to the extreme and spend a fortune.

You off anywhere nice on your hols?

I've not yet decided on a car - i will keep looking. This rate, time i get one i'd of forgotten how to drive.

 Don;t you hate that when you click submit reply and its timed out, so you have lost all your post!

    I will start again...

I started with how bad i've been this week. I've had a bit of a manic week at work, working 12 hour days, so i have not been making my lunches for work. I worked out earlier i have spent around £26 this week on lunches - what a waste. Next week i must bring my own in. I am happy with all my overtime this week though, have done 18 hours which means June pay packet should be nice and healthy - hopefully £400 extra :j

I also confessed to spending quite a bit of money last weekend when i went to the McArthurGlen designer outlet. I have started keeping fit, and wanted to start running. So off i went last weekend to get all my running trainers and clothing, and i ended up spending £90 in Adidas. I was really happy with all my purchases, i got a really nice pair of running trainers, a pair of leggings, and 2 crop tops. If i had bought all what i did in the high street it would've cost me double.

Tonight i plan to have a nice relaxing evening, i need it. Plan to catch up on TV progs i've missed, and also watch a few dvds i've not seen yet.

This weekend my OH and I have my lil 2yr old niece to stay. I really can't wait to have her. I don't often get to spend a lot of time with her due to working, so i'm really looking forward to having her.

So much for making my own lunch this week - so far spent £7 this week:mad:, i also had to buy some toiletries from Boots, so that was another £8 spent - so far not been a good week

I spent £19 at the weekend on food as well, so another  i must try harder to resist takeaways and blockbusters - such a waste of money.

I'm already counting down to payday next Thursday - i can then sort out how much i have left to buy a car.

Off for a relaxing eve now - Prison break and 24 :j

Not much happening, STILL no car for me - boohoo! I did see one today which was perfect, but called up and someone was coming to look at it tonight, the guy said he'd contact me if it sells or doesn't sell, but didn't hear a word, so not sure if thats gone or not, will try him in the morning. Be good if its still available as was perfect, and cheap. Perfect little 1st car. The hunt continues.....

I bought a week bus ticket today for £16, i only got on the bus, sat down and turned on my itouch, and totally forgot about my ticket in my hand, i only screwed it up and chucked it on the floor. So tonight i had to buy another week ticket for £16 - wasn't happy about that, serves me right for listening to my tunes and being silly.

What a lovely bank holiday weekend it was weather wise, my OH and I spent the weekend arguing about silly things, its becoming a bit of a common thing at the moment, i just hope we can get passed it. We've been together 8 years.

Good news - i only spent £28 all weekend, i'm happy with that.

Yay - i finally have a car. Bought my lil 04 reg Ford KA yesterday. Its black and i'm very happy with it - bought it for £1.5K - and the insurance was only £600 so not too bad. Its all been paid with cash, so no more debt has been added, which is always nice. I hope to keep this for 6 months, then buy something a lil more flash, like a Mini. We;ll see how my driving goes first though lol. Just drove myself home from my OH's - and no accidents :j

I now only have £190 to last me untli the end of the month. I don't have any other bills to come out, so i should be fine. I have a few birthdays/Fathers Day coming up, but they won't cost me too much.

Driving to work in half hour - wish i didn't have to go in today. I could do with a day of driving in the sunshine getting used to the car. May see if i can get a day off this week, or possibly beginning of next week.

    Right, must get on.

Oh, and i'm not very happy at all with Take a Break Bingo  i mentioned about a month ago that my card got cloned so i had to get a replacement, well silly me transfered £10 from my TAB account to my bank account, i didn't realise they transfer it back to the card no, not the account no, so obviously because i had a new card it got transfered to my old card no. I let them know, and they said they would sort it. Well just over a month later no email from them - i've emailed them a couple of times but no reply, i have now updated my card details, but still no joy. Their customer service is awful.

    xx

The Gazelle is a shop-a-holic, and finds it very hard to go into Town and not come back with at least something. Last weekend I found I got some bargains, I probably didn't need them, but I just had to have them, I have so many pairs of Jeans, t-shirts and shoes, which will either never be worn, or I dare not ware, as I would be afraid to damage them, but knowing I have them makes me feel a lot better, I am at work, and already planning what I can buy at lunchtime, again I don't really need anything, but it is that excitment of being in the shop, and having the item wrapped up and having the bag etc, then to just open it up and feel let down.
I don't know where the addiction to shopping has come from, maybe being spoilt as a child has not helped any, and always getting my own way with stuff I have wanted, however, I am a savvy shopper, I will NEVER pay full price for the said item(s), I will ALWAYS see if I can get the same product cheaper some place else, and that way it justifies my spending habits.
It has to be said though, I have gotten better with my spending, not cured totally, doubt I ever will be, but have resisted the past two days a trip to Molton Brown, which is unheard of, but sadly this temptation has gotten too strong, so that is where my lunch time will be sending me today:confused:
