I did Emily, thank you very much for that tip, has saved me soo much money, and also my sanity.
Been checking out cars and insurance since i got in. I've just turned 25 so i'm hoping it won't be as much as i would if i had passed years ago. So far £800 is the cheapest and thats for a 1.1 Peugeot 206, and i'll definitely remember to go through Quidco.

Fantastic! Really pleased for you.Paying off my partners debts:

Thanks guys!!!!! Still soo happy about finally passing! I have spent nearly all week looking at cars online, and working out the cheapest car for the insurance, its down to peugeot 206 or VW Lupo! Decisions decisions, and i have 2 months to decide, well thats when i would have saved the money i need.
It was payday today, and i moved £700 to savings straight away for the car, next month i will do exactly the same thing, and the same at the end of May, so with a few ebay sales, i should have saved around £2,700 for my car and insurance. I'm looking at spending £2K for my car, and then insurance will cost about £700. I want to pay for everything and not put a penny on finance - which will make it feel so much better, my own car fully paid for by ME! :j
I have been a naughty girl today, i met up with an old friend for dinner and i spent £40 tonight  £30 on dinner and a few glasses of vino, and then £10 for the cab ride home. Thats my night out for April
I have been playing with my finances today and i have worked out i only have £13 a week to spend on everyday bits, magazines, lunch, CHOCCY
and I'm determined to stick to it, and not overspend.
Off to update my sig :j

WELL DONE on your car savings. That's wonderful! Much better than finance or a bank loan. Do you have a specific car in mind?
Good luck sticking to your budget, I'm sure you'll be fine!Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Thanks retro - i have worked out i should have £3000 by the end of May - thats enough for my car and the insurance. I have narrowed it down to a new'ish Vauxhall Corsa SXI or a Peg 206 - insurance for both cars is around £590 - which i think is quite good for a new driver, but i am 25, prob why its a bit cheaper :rotfl:
I've really failed this week with money, spent around £20 on rubbish, bits in Tesco for OH and I, and a few magazines, also lunch from M&S 2 times this week, sandwich, crisps & drink for £2, what a bargain.
£40 on the way to me from Quidco :j
Off to catch up on my fav diaries

I have just had to transfer £100 from my savings to my current account, okay not the best excuse, but i am in need of some new clothes. It took me about an hour to find clothes to take to OH's this weekend, i just have no clothes, just casual clothes, so because i have 20% off voucher for Warehouse, DP's and New Look, i may have a little looksy tomorrow and see what's about. I plan to spend no more than £60, any i have left will be transfered back to savings. Talking about savings, i had £700 in my ISA, and i only got 20p interest this month, any point having an ISA? must check with Barclays, 20p can't be right, surely. I'm sure the interest was 2.7%

Not all bad, i have worked out i will still have saved more than enough money by the end of May for my car and insurance :T I'm sooo tempted to just go get a loan and buy a car now, i hate the waiting, but i know i'm doing the right thing, plus, probably wouldn't be able to get a loan with the current climate.
Right, i must go get ready for work, need to leave at 10.50 and still need bath, wash/dry hair, i must get a move on.
Quidco money arrived today, i have that set aside for Easter eggs and pressies for my family and niece.
