Hi shopaholic hows everything going? You seen the shopaholic film? I took my mum last week and laughed so much, it was like watching myself hehe xx
  • Hi Sarah, I'm good thank you. Not seen the new shopaholic movie though - my girlfriends have all been really busy lately, and my OH just doesn't want to know, i even offered to pay for him to see it but still wouldn't budge - gutted. I must remember that when he asks me to watch one of his rubbish films. I may have to wait and buy it on DVD, i wonder if any of the other books will be turned into movies? hope so!

I'm being really bad at the mo, keeping seeing things in Miss Selfridge and Topshop that i just want, so many nice clothes out at the mo, its soo hard to resist, but i'm managing it, god knows how!

Sent off my ID docs to take a break today, so hopefully will get my £10 back soon.

    Hello,

Hope you don't mind me posting in your diary, just couldn't resist as you seem so like me! I am not actually in debt, apart from to my OH but its only because he is so good to me. I am also learning to drive and struggling with it a wee bit...I have my first test booked for next month but keep doing stupid things in my lessons. Like you, I know I can drive fine but I tend to get really flustered if anything goes wrong...like if someone comes up very close behind me at a traffic light I worry about stalling and annoying them. Because I am so worried about it, I sometimes end up doing it! Grrr...its so frustrating and expensive, isn't it? When is your next test booked for?

    Take care and good luck!

  • Hello Kristen, I love people posting in my diary, more the merrier. My next test is booked for the 23rd March  it'll be my 5th test. I'm exactly like you, i spend more time worrying about stalling and upsetting other road users, that i actually end up stalling and getting annoyed at myself. I keep failing on the most pathetic things too, feels like i will never pass. Mustn't give up i keep telling myself.

Take care and let me know how you get on in your test.

It was my birthday at the weekend, so i am now a year older.

I got quite a bit of money for my birthday from OH and family, around £550 so i will be using that and the money i made from ebay to purchase my macbook :j its such a lot of money for a laptop, so in two minds to just save all the money and use it towards a car - if and when i pass, or just start saving for a house with my OH. I use the comp lots of a eve for money saving etc, so i think i will just go for it.

Very annoyed, i thought i cancelled Blockbusters after my trial, but i receive an email this morning saying i will be charged for the higher packed, £12.71 because i didn't let me know which package i was going to have after my trial. So thats £12.71 gone from my account for no reason. I will just have to make the most of the unlimited DVD's this month and have lots of nights in with the OH watching movies, instead of going out spending money.

Sent off all my ID docs to Take a Break, they have now come back saying they need a copy of my debt card i paid with, they really do take the pee. So my driving licence, bank statement and utility bill wasn't enough? madness. Will send that off today, if i remember.

    Morning Shopaholic!

Thats rubbish about the blockbuster thing. Hope you can get it sorted or at least make use of the dvds this month!

I have a driving lesson at 10am, always get nervous beforehand! I think its because I have to drive through central glasgow to get to the part of town where we practice and its so busy!

After that I am meeting my mum in town which will be nice, haven't seen her in ages! Its my birthday tomorrow so she is taking me shopping, hurray! Then mum and dad are taking me and my boyfriend for dinner tonight. :)
Can't believe I am 24 tomorrow, how did that happen?!

Hope you have a good day! x

    Hey Kristin,

Good luck for your driving lesson, you will be fine, if i leave the house feeling positive then i can usually get through my lesson without too many mistakes, its when i leave home really nervous that i mess up.

I'm going to say to my OH we have to have lots of evenings in to make use of the dvd rental mistake. I have added lots of new releases to my list that i've wanted to see so its not all bad.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow - have a lovel day shopping with your mum and enjoy your meal tonight. I was 25 at the weekend, i really don't know where the years have gone. A guy i used to work with said once you hit 21 the years go super quick, and he was right. I don't know where the last 4 years have gone - scary.

Thank you! Started off having a really nice day, did spend a bit of money but I was a lot more restrained than I used to be. :) Got to start somewhere. I can't believe I am 24, it's crazy! Where have the years gone? I feel like I am going to be old before I know it! Sadly my boyfriends grandad had a very bad heart attack on Tuesday so we had a mad dash to the hospital as they didn't think he was going to make it. He is still hanging in there but it is still touch and go.

    How are things with you?

  • Sorry to hear about your OH's granddad Kristin, i hope he will be okay.

I put £300 into savings on Monday, but tonight my sister was in abit of mess and needed some money so had to lend her £250 so my savings are right back down again. I really need to cut back for the rest of the month as the money i put in savings left my current account with only £50 in. I wasn't expecting my sister to ask for some money and i couldn't say no, so i need to watch myself now. I said i needed it back by the end of April when i'm hoping to get a car and when i need to pay off some of the holida in November- just hope she has some money by then to pay me back. My sister is awful with money and i said i would only lend it to her if she didn't spend it on clothes and going out was was used to pay the bills - then the first thing i heard her say was i'm going to the cinema Friday night - so flipping annoying.

Blockbuster have messed up, i paid for the higher rental level, and te moneys been taken out my account, yet i'm on the lowest level so can only get dvds this month and not the unlimited i first thought - i hope they sort it, that will be my way of staying in and not going out spending money i don't have.

Right, need to go iron my work clothes for tomorrow now - fun!!!

  • WOW - my diaries moved to the new board - cool. I didn't even know there was going to be a trial for a diaries board - its good that there is though. Just been looking at loads of peoples diaries, and its given me lots of ideas :j

What a weekend, i was planning on a NSW as money is tight at the mo, but i ended up going shopping and spending £50 on two tops from Dorothy Perkins and a meal out on Saturday - naughty me! Now i only have £70 to last me until 27th March, and I'm having day out in London tomorrow with my mum and sis, but already have theatre tickets and train tickets so all we need to pay for is food and drinks - hopefully won't be too expensive, i have £50 put aside for the day.

My new laptop arrived on Friday, it cost £719 but because i got it through a family member he managed to get a discount as he works for Apple - so only cost me £630. Its a lot of money for a laptop, never pay that much but used money from the sale of my Dell laptop and used my birthday money so i only actually used £60 of my own money and i love my Macbook :o

    Off to update spreadsheets now..
