List of things to do tomorrow shilst waiting for courier man:
* Cancel life assurance - work have now started offering free life assurance, so no point me paying out £5.90 a month.
* Sign up to HSA - save me some money with optical costs
* Research things to do whilst away this weekend, romance things.
* Pick up parcel from post office after courier man has been and gone

Hi, just wanted to say I've had a problem with my Dell laptop too, where it's plugged in but wont charge. It's happened twice to me, and both times it had to go back to Dell to have the motherboard replaced, and a new charger sent.
I've only had it for 9 months, so it is still under guarantee. Usually takes 4 days to be fixed and sent back.0 -
Hi Chick Chick,
Sounds like its a common fault with all Dells then because the guy said its a problem with the motherboard. How long did it take for them to fix yours?

Edit - so sorry, missed part about how long it took to fix it. Thank you

I was up bright and early today, 6.30am. I am bathed, dressed, hair blow dryed and straightended, now just waiting for the courier man. Hoping its early, before 10am, i had already made plans to spend the day with my mum so feel bad having to let her down.
Going to get cracking and will sign up to HSA, then get paper work out of folder to cancel life assurance, then i will check onepoll.
Firstly though, have just checked online banking so going to update my spreadsheet, like i do every morning!

Luckily the guy came at 11.30 to collect the laptop so i could still go out with my mum. I somehow though managed to spend £40. £25 of that was Valentines gifts for OH, and other money was spend on Soap and Glory bits and weekend bag from Primark. I still need to get some sexy lingerie, saw some lovely bits in M&S, but its just more money. Need to work out if i can afford another £25 on stuff i don't really need. Maybe Primark will have some sexy lingerie, i forgot to check, i could pick some up really cheaply, and OH will never know.
I checked Onepoll today, signed up to HSA, i didn't cancel life assurance, thats a job for the morning before i go to work.
Updated spreadsheet, now off to bed..

Yay - its Friday and i'm off today :j
My OH and I are off for our Valentines weekend later, he worked lates last night so meant he didn't get home till 4am, so setting off after lunch, not so bad as only takes 2hrs to get there. I was panicking a bit last night as it started to snow and was coming down really quickly, thought i would be snowed it today and no weekend away - luckily woke up and its not as bad as i thought.
Dell contacted me yesterday about my laptop, turns out it was only the charger which was the problem, bit annoyed as i told them that to begin with, but they wouldn't just send a charger without taking the laptop in for repair. So its back one day next week, the only thing is i'm working Monday - Friday so will miss it when they try to deliver, so means trying to get to the depot to collect, which is in the middle of the countryside, or get them to re-deliver and i take a day off work. Just can't wait to get it back, the computer im using at home is very slow. As soon as i get it back i'm going to put it on ebay, then use whatever i get from that, and my birthday money next month to put towards the white Apple macbook.
Scratchcard done for the day, now up to £9.40 - not long now then i can withdraw. Its taken me months to get that £10, i only have the one scratchcard account with Butlins bingo, i may sign up to another, will earn money a bit more quicker then.
Off to check Onepoll, then start gettng packed and ready.

Time for a wee update i think. My weekend away was lovely, didn't want to come back though. Work so far this week has been horrid, forgot how much i hated working there, just want a new job, but with the current economic climate, i can't see me getting a new job very soon, i should just be grateful i have a job at the min.
Really trying to limit my spending this week, today though i bought some lunch £3, and i rented out a boxset from Blockbusters £5, i know i know i really didn't need the boxset, but i was going to order it from Amazon for £17.99, so in a way i'm saving myself by renting it out. I have no plans this weekend at all, OH is working, so what better time to watch it as i can keep it for 7 days.
Upto £9.80 on the scratchcard, by Sunday i should be able to withdraw £10 - yay! Its taken time to get that, but its been worth it.
My laptop is still not fixed. It came back yesterday, and even tho the guy on the phone said it was the charger, they have replaced the motherboard, and not sent me a new charger. Tried using it tonight for the first time and shock horror doesn't work, as its the charger, and not the motherboard, so more waiting for a new charger now  so bl00dy annoying!
Off to check Onepoll, and then maybe do a Dooyoo review. Not done any reviews since Christmas  just really can't bring myself to write them. But as i'm free this weekend going to at least try and manage one.
Also going to check my Barclays current account. Roll on payday on the 27th Feb.

Really having trouble sleeping tonight, arrgghh, i hate that time of the time us girlies have!!
Just played my Butlins scratchcard and won £5, so have been able to withdraw my £10 now, and have £4.90 left in the account still, so hopefully another month and i can withdraw another £10. Also, signed up to Take a Break bingo this morning, won 25p, and then withdraw my £10 like a good money saving girl i am, i did want to play bingo, but resisted, just played another TAB scrachcard and won 10p. I love free scratchcards, i love free money.

My laptop is finally fixed, it was the charger all along - so now i have a new charger, its working fine :j
I received my £50 Qype voucher yesterday, not sure whether to sell it or not. Just happy i received it okay.
Yesterday i found out i get a 2.5% payrise, not a lot but better than nothing. Its going to be backdated to January so should get around £70 extra at the end of Feb.
I have nothing planned for tomorrow, so i'm going to put a list together of things i'd like to do, money saving things of course, not shopping...ooh i so wished it was shopping! So many lovely clothes in the shops at the mo.
List for Saturday:-
* Manage at least 2 Dooyoo reviews
* Complete ALL the surveys sitting in my inbox, must be like 20 - most have prob expired now though.
* Check onepoll
* Take piccys of all the bits i want to list on ebay
* Check for mystery shopping jobs
Thats about it, i need some time to veg on the sofa watching my dvd boxset i rented from Blockbusters for an impressive £5.
I must also book my sisters 21st gift, and my mums mothers day gift.
