  • I'm a bit forgetful at the moment, so writing myself a list to do this week and at the weekend:-

    * Do 13 more Qype reviews to be on the safe side
    * Do 10 Dooyoo reviews
    * Sort out finances and work out how to start saving money
    * Cancel credit report, it never tracked and don't want to have to start paying for it :mad:
    * Have a NSweekend
    * Do Bingoport and make enough to redeem £5 or maybe £10
    * [STRIKE]Check onepoll for reviews[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]Catch up on my TNT surveys that i just can't bring myself to do [/STRIKE]
    * Send off photos to be developed
    * [STRIKE]Buy my monthly bus ticket and save 25%[/STRIKE]

    I think thats it, should keep me busy this weekend and at the weekend :j
  • I was a good girl today, and only spent 80p :D

    I have just signed up to Retail eyes in the hope i can get a few mystery shops and earn some extra ££. Never done one before, but have read about it from other members on here and it looks fairly easy, so worth giving a go i thought. Just hope some assignments become available in my area - must check every day so i don't miss out.

    I'm going to have a fairly chilled evening tonight i think, i've got ALL weekend to do my list above. I have nothing planned as no money, so ideal time to get cracking.

    Received my £20 Amazon voucher from Dooyoo today :j

  • Just spent £75.85 on my monthly bus ticket for February. I had to pay for it using my credit card, but i will pay that straight back when i get paid next week. Its saved me £25 just doing now and taking up the Arriva offer. Hopefully the offer will still be available next month so i can get my monthly travel card for March 25% off.

    God, i feel so bad using my credit card, especially when the interest is soo high. But i'm going to pay it back next week as soon as i get paid :rolleyes:

  • Not a happy bunny at all. I had my 4th driving test today, and surprise surprise i failed. The reasons just get more ridiculous each time. Each test i'm really nervous, i don't know why because i know i can drive fine and so does my instructor, so to keep failing for pathetic reasons is really getting to me, also the money issue is getting to me too. Its not cheap. I've spent 4K in 2 years learning to drive, one rubbish instructor to another who just ripped me off, so to keep having to pay for tests and 2hrs before the test, is really killing me as i'm TRYING to save and savings will be non existant is i keep failing for silly reasons. Today i failed because i didn't check my blind spot. I know i always check my blind spots, even my instructor was shocked because she knows i do too. Each test i am always so worried about my manoeuvres, but its never my manoeuvres that let me down, i pass all those with no problems, but its little things i get pulled up on. Like last test i put it into first, but somehow it had gone out of first and was more in 2nd, i pulled away it made a noise, but never stalled it, and i pulled away fine, but he failed me for it, and today having the same guy and him saying i don't check my blind spots when i do, its so flipping annoying. I have now booked my test for Friday 13th February, i know i pick the best days don't i. I just can't handle keep failing on such pathetic reasons, its killing me, and my finances. My instructor said 10 people came back from tests while she was there, and no one passed. The test centre has had a few complaints my instructor said, so many they are just in bad moods and failing everybody! Lets hope i do better in the 5th, prob not as my confidence has just gone.

    Because of the driving test expense, and having to pay my instructor more money next month, not much of my debt will get cleared with Febs pay.

    I was meant to be doing 3 dooyoo reviews tonight, but i just don't feel upto it, so angry still.

  • Naughty me. So stressed i just spent the £20 Amazon vouchers that were meant for my bros birthday gift on 3 dvds. Lipstick Jungle season 1, i kept missing it on Living and really wanted to watch it. Also bought 2 oldie but goodie girly flicks - cheap £3.98 each.

    Going to have to give my bro cash now, which he will prob prefer, he is 16 and all 16 yr olds want money.

  • I'm getting through my list very slowly. However today i have joined 2 more mystery shopping sites in the hope some assignments become available in my area, and i have joined Toluna to make some more Amazon vouchers, along way to go through before i can redeem lol.

    I'm off out later now so probably won't get chance to do anymore money saving tasks this weekend.

    However, i will try and keep the spending low!

  • Sorry to hear about your driving test hun! I failed twice and I never thought I was going to pass!! You will do it next time :-) xx
  • Thanks Sarah. I too hope next time. Hopefully Friday the 13th Feb will be a lucky day for me lol.

  • Its been a stessful 2 days at work to far this week, i'm wishing it was Friday already.

    My money is all over the place at the mo, i must sit here tonight and sort it out. I get paid one day this week, not sure on the date yet though, and not suer how much, bit i think it'll be roughly £940, so i will work my finances from that figure.

    The bus ticket i ordered on Thursday last week is still not here and it starts on the 29th Jan. Not happy i've paid £75 for a monthly bus ticket that hasn't arrived yet. If it doesn't come tomorrow then i'm going to have to start forking out £6.20 a day as i leave before the post arrives on Thursday. I have emailed Arriva as its just not on. I have already paid £75 so why should i have to start forking out more money to the rubbish bus company just because there customer service is useless. If i do have to start paying out of my own pocket Thursday onwards i will be writing a big complaint letter to them, and be requesting my £75 back immediately and i cannot afford to pay for bus fare twice.

    Been very lazy with Dooyoo this week, not managed once single review. I just cannot be asked. I was hoping to redeem £20 Amazon voucher on Friday next week, but i only have 6,450 points, so need quite a few more lol.

    I will not be starting my savings this month i have decided. I need to give £50 to OH as a deposit for the holiday in November. We are going to our best friends wedding in the Bahamas and it'll cost us £1,500 each. They are great friends of ours so we couldn't say no, plus i didn't want to say no, will make my year seeing them get married. I have to pay £50 now, then next payment in April which i believe is half the balance, then remainder in September. So i will have to live like a poor person from now until November.

    Its my OH's birthday next week, so £150 is going to him for his birthday gift. And its Valentines in a few weeks, so more money as we are going away for the night to a country hotel. All money, which i don't have :cool:

    Off to sort finances now, this isn't going to be pretty.

  • Checked online banking this morning and its payday :j i'm just about to pay my Kays min payment £79.60, and once thats paid i will have £371.90 left to pay. Cannot wait for that to be cleared, finally.

    I worked through my finances, not looking good. The £400 i was planning to put away this month has been swallowed up with OH's birthday money, holiday deposit, bits i ordered from Next sale at the end of Dec, which i forgot about until OH got his statement yesterday, so i have £100 to live off in February. I was planning on buying myself £100 worth of new clothes as i'm really in need of some. I do need a new outfit for OH's birthday meal, thats a must buy for this weekend.

    Off out to the cinema tonight, but i'm using the Orange Wednesday code, very MSE.

    Off to pay credit card debt now which i've racked up this month and also pay Kays.

    xxx
