• I have just been going through old statements etc, working out how much i have paid back this year so far, and i've only managed to pay back £1,681.51 since March. That works out £186 a month. That has really shocked me becuase it felt like i was paying way more than that a month. I have therefore decided, come January, every single extra penny i get, will be chucked at my debt to enable me to be debt free at the end of March, fingers crossed

I've not managed much more of that lovely list, i must get my butt in gear!!!

Good luck with paying more off next year. I have decided to do something similar and every bit of extra money i make I am going to throw at my overdraft!
• Thank you Wendz, hopefully throwing every single penny i have extra at my debt will help get rid of it a little bit quicker.

Right, i have just updated my list above, have crossed through most things. So only my Dooyoo reviews to do, but i think thats a job that can be done when i return, and not had my Decembe statement from Barclaycard yet to can't write that out before i go. All confirmation will be printed at my OH's house tomorrow. Hopefully then i should all be set for holiday - yay!

• I'm back from my Christmas in America, it was fan bl*ody tastic. I spent a bit more than i wanted, i took with me £800 worth of $$, and spent around £650 worth, so managed to get back around £150 when i got back, which is better than nothing, as i could of spent it all i found soooo many bargains. I most spent the money on food, drink, going out on day trips, shopping, a bit more shopping....:D and a bit more shopping!!

I was out all day today at the theatre in London with a friend, and spent a further £50 on food and train fares, but it was another fab day.

Its getting nearer to 2009, so want to make 2009 my year to become debt free. I don't plan on spending any more money until 2009 :D i'm staying in on New Years eve with the OH and babysitting my 2yr old princess niece, which will be nice. Once 2009 hits, i plan to cut back my spendings complately, and still aim to be debt free by March 2009.

I will put together a list of DFW New Years resolutions, and i aim to stick to them, and be really hard and strict on myself to make sure it happens.

I will update shortly with my dfw resolutions

• HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE EVERYONE :j :j

Soo, here goes my 2009 resolutions

1. Earn £40 a month on Dooyoo in Amazon vouchers - this way i can still treat myself to dvds, CDs, but not fork out my own money (i know i should earn the cash, but if i'm going to cut out most of my bigs loves in life, shopping, i will need something to keep my busy :D

2. Determined to pass my driving test and not waste £56.50 every time i have to re take it because of my nerves. 4th time lucky at the end of January, and i WILL pass!

3. Find a new job. I'm sooo unhappy in my job at the moment, i hate it. I have been there 1.5 yrs, and it makes me soo unhappy. Very boring, no way of getting promotion, just stuck in a horrible rut at the mo, and want to get out of it. I know what i want to do, but it may take a bit of hard work, but i'm prepared to put the effort in.

4. Not spend money on clothes and shoes in Jan, Feb & March. Ask for them for my birthday.

5. Save £400 of my wages in my ISA

6. Spend more time doing comps.

7. Show my OH more how much i love him. I'm a bit useless when it comes to showing him how much i love him, he's my best friend.

7. Spend more time with my family and my princess niece.

I think thats about it.

Oh apart from, be debt free by the end of March 2009 :T

My debts as of 31st December 2008:

Kays - £486.50
Barclaycard - £573.81
OH - £1,300

Total - £2,360.01

Yikes, just worked it out. I would need to pay £786.67 at my debt each month until the end of March to be debt free by my debt free target date. Maybe i best find a second job. I may join up to some mystery shopping sites, people seem to be making a nice bit of extra money from doing them.

Only just over 9hrs left until my new life starts......

xxxxxxx
• HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE :j I hope everybody had a great night.

So, its the 1st January 2009, time to start 2009 and make sure i'm debt free by the end of March.

I have been out all day so have been unable to make a good start at Dooyoo, i am mid way through one review, however got bored so have given up and will continue writing it tomorrow. I said yesterday i would like to make £40 a month in vouchers, so i have just worked it out i need to make £15 by the 8th January to keep me on track. I alreayd have 2,835 points, so need to make 12,065 points by Thursday next week, which is def do able, if i get my fingers out.

I said to my mum today i would pop into town with her tomorrow, couldn't really say no as it will be the fist proper time of spending some time with her since getting back from holiday on Monday. I don't plan on buying much, apart from popping into Primark to see if they have anything good, and posting a few Amazon items that sold yesterday, so i hope to spend no more than £15, thats including the £4 bus ticket lol.

I need to update my spreadsheet for today, hoping no unexpected money has gone out.

Just chilling now watching Gavin and Stacey Christmas special i sky+ whilst on holiday, and the Royal Family xmas special.

xxxx
• Well me only spending £15 today in town didn't quite go to plan, i actually spent £31  £14 spent in Primark on pj's, knickers and few new belts, £8.90 in Boots on a sundae set reduced from £10 to £5, and i also bought 2 diet coke bottles and hmmm, cannot remember for the life of me what else i bought. I also spent £4.70 on bus fare, and £3 in Sainsburys on sandwich and local newspaper. I bought the newspaper in the hope i would find a part-time job on there for some extra money, but silly me forgot nobdody would be advertising so soon after Christmas, had only half of page of jobs compared to the usual 9 pages.

My OH wants to go Lakeside tomorrow (Essex), so i'm going to put £30 in my purse, and once thats gone, its gone, no more spending.

I've just seen a few bits on The Body Shop website in the sale, and i'm thinking of buying them for Crimbo pressies this year, but not sure i want to part with the money lol.

Not managed any Dooyoo reviews today, i must really try harder.

Off to look up mystery shopping jobs..

xxx
• Again, i overspent whilst out shopping, i spent £61  I did however pick up about 4 birthday/christmas gifts in the sale in Boots and The Body Shop. I have put all these goodies in my pressie box!

Tonight when i got in i started looking at Dooyoo and managed one review :j my first in about 3 weeks. I have thought if i can do 2 reviews a day, and a bit of rating, i could easily make £2 a day, so thats £14 a week, and £56 a month :D so i must knock out another review before going to bed.

Back to work tomorrow - boohoo. I hate my job, i really HATE it. Didn't manage to look for jobs this weekend, but definitely going to get job hunting this week. I need to find another perm job, and a part-time job to make me some extra £££.

Still not managed to look at Mystery shopping too, another job i must do this week.

I also have a confession, i ordered a few bits from my catalogue tonight, i know, i know, those catalogues are a rip off and i should pay off the £500 i owe and cancel the account. I have tried, but i need some clothes for work, and a nice jacket, so have ordered the bits, and will pay extra at the end of January to cover it. I ordered £200 worth, but one of the jackets will be going back as i ordered two as wasn't sure which one i liked best, so thats £50 already gone.

My OH's birthday at the beginning of Feb, god i sooo wish it wasn't so soon after xmas. I have been thinking about what to get him, and as we both love going away so much i have been thinking about looking at prices to take him to Dublin. We have both wanted to visit Ireland, so this would be a great trip. I will work out costs, and if its do-able, then i may just take him away instead of getting him some rubbish computer console, or game, thats the usual rubbish he asks for lol. Will update when i have costs :j

Right, time to write that review, and maybe get some sleep!

• I have been good with my money the last 2 days. I have really wanted to buy a few bits from River Island but i resisted :j however i did spend £3.50 today in a card shop near me that is closing down. I bought lots of bits for Christmas 2009, a very pretty hand made christmas card for my mum reduced from £3 to 50p, the same for my dad hand made xmas card reduced from £3 to 50p, i also got 3 very nice xmas gift bags, all reduced from £2.50 to £49p, and a pack of xmas cards reduced to 49p, also a very pretty pink 2009 diary reduced to 0.49p from £4.99 and 2 money wallets.

I have just managed another Dooyoo review. I didnt manage my 2 for Monday, so i will try and do 3 2 days this week. Its jsut hard to find the time writing them. I tend to spend about an hour just writing one review because i like to submit long informative reviews. This weekend my OH is away all weekend, and i have no other plans other than spend it in bed, so i may try and write 15 reviews and save them on my comp, so i can list 2 a day without having to spend any time during the working week writing them.

This year i'm trying to sort out my money and start saving, so i will write my SOA again:-

Incoming:
My wage - £925.00 (normally get about an extra £100 overtime each month but won't include that as its not always available)

Outgoing:

£100 - rent
£80 - travel
£5.69 - life assurance (will look into how to cancel this, only signed up for the £80 cashback on Quidco)
£7.70 - HSA dental - just signed up so can't cancel yet
£20.00 - PAYG mobile top-up - Orange
£75 - Kays (just over minimum payment)
£13.00- Barclaycard - (minimum payment)
£50 - Christmas/present fund

= £356.39 - £568.61 left every month

I've said to myself i'm going to stop buying clothes/shoes, so if i leave myself £68 a month for living, i should be able to save £500 a month, hopefully a bit more if i can get a 2nd job and do some mystery shopping. I'm hoping to make £40/£50 a month from Dooyoo, so thats where i will get my treats from, the £68 i have for myself can be for food.

Right, i best get on and do the last Dooyoo review for Tuesday 6th January

xxxx
• Things to do in the week, before the weekend:-

* Upload my holiday snaps to Truprint/Jessops - hopefully get them all for free
* Do 8 Dooyoo reviews
* Play some bingoport and make enough to redeem £5
* Check Onepoll for surveys
