  • I was really hoping for a NSD today, but instead went out and bought 2 magazines and a choccy bar and packet of crisps, it helped me through the horrible day of boring work. Total spent today £2.34 :rolleyes:

    Just been looking at ISA's, i'm looking for one with a decent %, but nothing around, flamming labour Gov :mad: useless for anybody wanting to save money! I have decided to put £500 away every month into an ISA, so come June it will be filled up with £3,600 of lovely english pounds :j i might just open an ISA with my bank Barclays, and see whats around in a April when they all start again.

    Not managed much in the way of my list so far this week, but i have until Friday night at midnight, so i can see tomorrow evening being a VERY busy one lol.Tonights just gone so quickly, and i've not even done anything, apart from look for ISAs.

    Onepoll have zero surveys so thats one of the list i guess. Still 6 more Dooyo reviews to go, and some bingoport playing until i can redeem £5, lucky enough i have no plans for tomorrow eve.

    I did have a look at Truprint/Jessops to order pics, however all my holiday pics if ordreed from Truprint will set me back nearly £17 :eek: and Jessops, well i cant even work their programme, so gave up!

  • Remember i said the other day i done a bit thing and ordered few bits from Kays, received them today and i only liked one thing for £24! So its all been returned, so once its all been credited back to my account i should only owe £436.36. I might pay £36.36 and make it a nice round £400 i owe to Kays.

    xx
  • Don't ya just love Saturday mornings, knowing you have another day off tomorrow as well. :j

    Again, yesterday i didn't manage a NSD, i spent £4.06. I bought another magazine, Essentials, i do love that mag, its different to my usual Heat and OK, but its got good money saving tips in, and some lovely recipies i'm just going to have to try next week. I'm looking into getting a subscription to Essentials, in the magazine was a leaflet about 12 monthly subscription, £13 every 6 months and i get this lovely free gift, Meybelline New York make up set, it looks great, and its worth £38, so they say. So might order that today online.

    Also today im off for lunch with my sis, and think we may have a wonder around Lakeside and go the cinema to watch Bridewars. Do def won't be a NSD, i aim to spend no more than £20 on lunch and cinema, then the £13 for Essentials mag subscription, so around £33 to spend tody.

    Jobs for today:-

    * 2 reviews on Dooyoo
    * Order christmas holiday snaps from Truprint - try and find a code to bring the price down a bit
    * Order Essentials subscription
    * Play some Bingoport, last night attemp was awful
    * Look into ISAS again, need to find one soon
    * Check Onepoll surveys
    * Update spreadsheets and update my money planner diary

  • Very proud of myself today. I saw soo many nice things i just wanted to buy, but instead i resisted. When i got home i did order one thing i'd seen in The Body shop. It has been reduced to £10 from £20, but with my Love your Body card i could get 10% off making it £9, but decided i'd order it online when i got in as you get 18% cashback on Quidco, so in total the gift i will give to somebody at Christmas cost me £6.24 :j

    I also spent around £10 on 2 birthday cards, 2 packs of No7 face wipes, i had 2x £5 off vouchers, so instead of paying £6.33 for a pack, i paid £1.33 so £2.66 for 2 packs instead of £12.66, another great bargain, i also bought some ladies bits in Boots and batteries for my battery operated piggy bank!

    Tonight is a night in and i'm watching St. Trinian's on Sky whilst attempting to write 2 Dooyoo reviews.

    I also signed to Equifax on Quidco for the £8 cashback, so fingers crossed it tracks, and i must remember to cancel within 30 days otherwise i will be charged 7.99.

    Hi,
    All your targets seem quite good, would be great if you were debt free in a couple of months.

    Well done on trying to cut down your shopping, it is very hard
  • A late night for me, I'm staying up late to see if the Boots 75% off sale starts, will stay up bit longer, then will head to sleep and set alarm for 6 am. Nobody on the boots thread is 100% the online sale starts tomorrow, but had some bits in my basket i wouldn't mind getting so staying up for a bit just in case. I think the 75% off sale starts in store on Wednesday.

    Because I'm a little bored just ordered 2 dvds i've been wanting from HMV, so thats me £7.98 out of pocket lol, damn the Boots sale and making me stay up ordering stuff.

    Managed 1 Dooyoo review tonight, so i'm happy with that. Need to try and do another tomorrow to be on target for £10 this week.

    Equifax has still not tracked on Quidco :mad: going to give it until mid next week, if still not tracked I'm ringing up and canceling, no way I'm risking having to pay out for something i receive zero cashback for.

    Blockbuster rental have sent me 2 dvds today :j i collected the tokens on the Coke bottles for Coke Zone, and once i reached 25 points i could get 10 free rentals from Blockbusters. I have 2 months to use the 10 free dvds too. I will prob average 2 dvds a week, so thats just over a month of free movies for me, for free :T

    Still a few bits not done from my lists, they are:

    * Play Bingoport and make £5 Amazon voucher
    * Send off for pictures from holiday via Truprint
    * Order Essentials magazine
    * Look into and sign upto Mystery shopping

    I MUST get all the above done by the end of January.

    I'm still really hating my job at the mo. Its the quiet period at the mo and its soo boring. Hardly any work to do, and i'm bored. I hate just sitting there trying to find work for 5 hours. Day goes slow and i get very tired. I like to be pro-active, always busy and doing something, this job just isn't me i've decided. On the hunt for a new one, but with the current financial situation not much around :rolleyes:

    Right, must go check Boots website again, you never know, sale might of started lol..

  • Another late one for me, as again i'm waiting for the online Boots 75% sale :rolleyes: lets hope it starts this time. I will stay up until 3am, then get some sleep, and set my alarm for 6am.

    :mad: at Kays. I mentioned i ordered some coats from them, well i received one of the coats, the other one was meant to be a coat but instead they sent me a dress, not my £75 coat. I returned both items last week. Just checked online today and they have credited my account for the 1 coat, and the dress, which was only £42.I never ordered a dress, so why have they refunded me for that, so that puts me £30 out of pocket. I will be ringing them first thing tomorrow and letting them know, so they can credit my account with then £30. Luckily i noticed the mistake.

    If i do end up buying anything from Boots, if the sale ever starts, i will let my diary know the damage lol.

    Good news, i received another crown today on Dooyoo, yay! 900 miles from another £10 voucher. Once i have that one, i will redeem £20 Amazon vouchers, and hopefully can redeem another £10 next week.

    Just playing Bingoport whilst i wait for the said sale to start, not winning much, i'm losing all my points, not making any. So a voucher from bport looks very unlikely this month.

  • Okay, last nights Boots sale didn't quite go to plan. I stayed online until 2 am, then felt very tired so decided to go asleep and set my alarm for 4 am, however when i woke up at 4 am my internet access was down :mad: , so decided to set my alarm for 6am, again internet access was down. 8am still down :mad: so i decided to get ready and head to my local store for its 8.45 opening. I got there at 8.40 and was about 10-15 people already outside waiting. Opened at 8.45, then the fun started...

    When i first walked in some people were just grabbing everything they saw by the look of it, so i thought sugar, i better start putting some stuff in my basket before its all gone. However they had lots and lots of stock, all the really good stuff too. I started picking up the £50 items all reduced to £12.50, grabbed Ruby and Mille case £50, No7 case £50, then thought to myself why am i picking this stuff up, i know its 75% off and fantastic value, but do i need it? and would i give it to anybody at Crimbo, prob no, i'd end up sticking it under my bed, and i;ll watch it collect dust.

    So i started a new plan, go around slowly, and look at each item and decide if i could give that to anybody for birthdays/christmas. I was a good girl and was going around with my calculator working out how much i'd spent. In total i spent £42, and this is what i got:

    In the Night Garden Light - RRP £19.58 - Paid £4.89 bought with points
    John Frieda Blonde gift set - RRP £10.00 - Paid £2.50 bought with points
    John Frieda frizz gift set - RRP £10 - Paid £2.50 bought with points
    Totes pink torch umbrella in a gift box - RRP £15 - paid £3.75
    No7 Travel collection in a bag - RRP £50 - paid £12.23
    St. Tropez gift set - RRP £44.04 - paid £11.01
    Ruby and Mille collection - RRP - £24.99 - paid £6.11
    Mr Mascara travel set x2 - RRP £14.69 - paid £3.75
    Trevor Sorbie male groombing gift set RRP £19.99 - paid £4.89

    Total spent today - £45.33 - saved £165.45 :j

    I think thats a lot of Birthday/crimbo pressies sorted for this year. Yay.

    I spoke to a lady at Kays today and she said she will sort out the incorrect credit, hopefully that will appear on my account before statement comes out next week.

    I am off to do one more Dooyoo review, i need 500 miles for the £20 Amazon voucher.

  • Yay, i've managed to have a very cheap weekend indeed :j i think i spent around £4 all weekend.

    Friday when i was in town i also came across a Boots store with quite a bit or half decent sale stuff left, so picked up some more bits and spent £9 on £40 worth of stuff. I think i have Christmas all sorted for this year lol. Unfortunately, i don't have enough storage space for it, ah well, its saved me heaps of money.

    Just ordered my £20 vouchers from Dooyoo, i hope they come Thursday. I can use them to pay for my bros birthday gift in Feb. He's computer game mad so i can get him a game for free.

    I signed up to the Vanquis credit card via Quidco on Thursday for the £25 cahsback, and its tracked and validated already. I don't intend on using it, not as 39%APR, just did it for the cashback. Its shocking really, they called me to say accepted, and then tried giving me £400 into my bank because the card won't be with me for 5 days. I bet so many people take up that offer, forgetting they have to pay it back with interest :eek:

    Just looked at the Qype offer, do 50 reviews and get £50 Virgin voucher. It was very tempting, but had a busy weekend and don't fancy sitting here doing 50 reviews.

    My Ipod Shuffle sold on ebay tonight. I've had it a few months, but got a new ipod for crimbo, so decided to sell it. I sold it for £25 - yay!

    xxx
  • I said i wasn't going to do the Qype challenge, but i started late Sunday night and have now finished, i think lol. I started so late i didn't read the rules properly. I thought i only had to do 50 reviews, but turns out you only had to do 50 if they were places that had never been reviewed before. So i done 39 reviews of places that had been reviewed before and 11 of places that hadn't. So i thought thank god, i have completed it. I check my emails and i get an email saying i'm half way to completing the challenge. So i re-read the rules and wasn't happy to read it i had another 50 do to as it was 100 reviews if they were places that had been reviewed before. However i am now up to 87,of which 13 are places that have never been reviewed before. So there was me thinking i have 13 more to do, which i was going to do tonight, then i receive another email saying well done you have completed the challenge. So i'm not sure why i didn't need to complete the further 13. Lets just hope i have competed and its not a mistake, i will be gutted if it is and i miss out on the £50 Virgin voucher.

    Other than doing reviews, my weeks been fairly boring. I only have £9 to last me until payday next week, and I'm not even 100% sure yet which day next week i will get paid, its usually the 28th or 29th. This weekend is going to be a cheap weekend i think.

    I received my Vanquis card today, 500 credit limit. I won't spend on it because the APR is crazy, however i get 58 days interest free so if there was one month i really needed the money i'd use it and just it pay it off when i get paid so i won't get charged interest. I have seen this offer on the bus i get, 25% if you book online. I pay £95 for a monthly ticket which i can use throughout Kent, so its great, but very expensive for the month. However if i take up the offer, and get 25% off it'll only be £70 for next months travel which saves me £25, but i don't have the money at the mo, so i could use the credit card :eek: and just pay it back next week, that way i won't miss out. Hmmmm, i think i'll do that to be honest. I only got the card for the £25 cash back, but just having it means i can save a further £25 on my travel for next month.

    I really should do a Dooyoo review tonight, but i just can't bring myself to do any. I redeemed £20 last week, so i should get that tomorrow i hope.
